friends, family, sports and working

hey everyone,
i am just wondering how people told their family and friends? especially their mothers. i live with my mother and i have told her about me being gay but she is delusional about it and doesn't like to talk about it. so i am just wondering how she is going to feel when i want to tell her i want to be a guy. how do i tell friends? especially the ones that are close to me that dont know i am gay. i am come out to certain people but not alot of people. and how do you work while going through transition? will i lose alot of friends that are coworkers? is it embarrassing to go through the change and walking the streets. i like to think i dont care what people think but sometimes people say things and it is hurtful. also, i play hockey and soccer, it will be hard to switch over to mens sports won't it?

well, last I checked, men play both sports   Probably the biggest difference in a rec hockey league will be that they allow checking whereas a lot of women's leagues never want the contact.  Cannot speak to soccer since I never had much of an interest...

It might be a different situation if you were looking at playing at the collegiate level, but at the rec level, it is all up to you.  I know when I played co-rec softball, there were guys who could not hit the ball out of the infield and women who could clear the fence.  There are no absolutes when it comes to abilities or expectations on the field or court...

Not true. Most adult hockey rec leagues are no check. It actually takes more effort to find checking adult leagues than non-checking ones. There will be body contact in any hockey league, but it's not the same as a checking league.

If you're still in school/younger, it's different. If you're over 18, you will have opportunities to play soccer or hockey as a man in either men's leagues or coed ones.

it would be weird to switch over from female to male. i dont know if i would wanna play coed. i am over 18 i guess i would just have to do some research haha.
