So i have a question does the therapist I get my T letter from have to have a PHD? I've called every therapist in the phone book and they all said they don't do gender therapy except one and I noticed she doesn't have a phd. Is that okay? Also what do you ask for when you call a therapist? Do you ask if they do gender therapy? I'm just curious if i'm wording it wrong or something.

Normally to start HRT it doesn't require a PHD .... however, for surgery some insurance and doctors require it -- but usually it's 1-2 sessions and your therapist should know someone for you.

Yeah, I'm sure it's no different for T than for E (it's all HRT anyway), and you definitely don't have to see a PhD for your referral.  The therapist who did mine is an MSW LPC. ;D

That is exactly what mine is certified as. Can I take my letter to any endo? Or do I need to do some searching for a certain endo like the therapist?

You don't need an Endocrinologist to prescribe you hormones.  If your GP is willing, you can get them from him/her.

Also, not every Endo is willing to prescribe hormones for trans people.  You will have to simply find a provider that is willing.

Hmm.. I may just use my GP then. My parents are good friends with him and his family. Maybe that will score me some points haha.

the doctor I will be using to prescribe my T is a gynecologist -- she is one of the doctors in the area that has tons of patients and is well known in the trans community.  As long as the doctor feels comfortable doing any doctor will do
