TransGeneration News: Transgender students’ trials documented in TransGeneration

The TransGeneration Film Festival will be presented at the San Jacinto Hall theater from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays from Feb. 1 to March 1. The Sundance Channel production features a day-in-the-life account of four diverse cast members: Gabbie Gibson, Lucas Cheadle, Raci Ignacio and T.J. Jourian. Throughout the course of a year, the students documented their lives as they struggled to fit in and adjust to college life.

Texas State faculty and staff will hold an informal question and answer forum during the film festival.
Heather Aidala, a counseling center psychologist, said TransGeneration presents a unique cast of individuals who all come from various ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Aidala said it is interesting to see how each of their lives unfolds as they face challenging obstacles.
