depends how you see it, if religion is an excuse or if it is because religions don't accept each other so they fight

I would agree, or not, depending of the meaning you give to Religion:

A cocoon of rigid man-made certitudes to avoid to have to think, question, explore and learn, but to feel important, smug and rightious;*
or the result of a fluid, ongoing, humbling and enlighting spiritual process connecting you deeply to the mysteries and intricacies of the universes (and his/her/its creator.)
