Was trying to go off E slowly and was not doing too badly but now started hitting the crunch.
Running on empty last night after 3 days nothing. Today my last 0.5mg for next 5 weeks? Started to feel lost like baby set out in middle of now where.
Thankfully had one of your good girls to talk to. Gosh it did help.
Awful if getting so whacked and be all on your own. Cold, miserable, dizzy (walking in door frames!), not even feeling like crying, just too much energy needed even for that! VERY low on energy, cut SPIRO in halve also (now 50mg/d).

Now we know all bodies are not the same and self running on next to no free T, 3 pmol/l last blood test so may be more affected? Can be?
Anyone of you know about going off E before SRS and what to do best? (Drink orange juice? Just joking!)
Still have 2 weeks "running on empty" before SRS. Is tougher then I thought, the way panning out right now.
Also not sure how long to be on zero E after op! Have two stage op (Dr. Sanguan) over 2 weeks, 1 week recoup so no E for ~5 weeks or more. Well better got to get used to it. Hope I will. :-)

Thank you for hearing me out,
Axelle

I think the standard is once you are cleared for no more touch ups aka extra stitches extra surgery etc then you get the green light to go back on, at a low low/maintenance dose of course! I'm surprised you have to go off them for so long! I stopped a week before surgery and that was all fine, though different surgeon.
I was off them for a total of 28 days and found the coming back on more traumatic, though it could of been a culmination of factors. Blah ... just think positive and don't stress or think about it too much as it will only make you worry and exacerbate it.
Don't think of it as "running on empty" because it will still be in your system floating around just at a lower level. IF you think rock bottom then you will feel rock bottom. good luck ;)

Yeah Muffing, thanks for reminder. Just like it went last night. Thing is if it just grabs you it can suck you under (at least for a while).
Am lots better today but had last 1/2 of 1mg Estro-Pause. Can laugh some again, heehee.
With Dr. Sanguan it's 2 weeks off E before surgery and I didn't feel like jumping from 4mg/d to just stop. Some say that's being one bad thing to do. All vasomotor symptoms to follow. So I been good girl, going down, down, down for last 5 weeks. Therefore "running on empty" comment, heehee.

Did you just stop cold turkey?
Been told doing that might get you start "leaking" (like yummy mummy? :-)
Anyone to comment if that's happened? At least then one thing avoided LOL.
Thanks,
Axelle

I stopped progesterone two weeks out before travel then E one week out. I think I felt the absence of P at first more than I ever did E.. I felt a general disorientation and irritability... I was a downright bitch at work.
I found, though, that there was a peak of the nasty feeling that was made worse by constantly thinking about what would happen if T came back. That was last Saturday. As the following week went on I felt better and I'm fine now (especially since my surgery is only two days away!)
The only thing I can say is that the risks of being on HRT while going in for SRS far outweigh the relatively short period of feeling yucky... I was tempted to cheat but I just kept telling myself that having had SRS would make no difference if I died from a clot. I know it sucks but we have to do it, right? You've come this far and you can do what it takes to reach the goal!

I know how you feel, though.... but it gets better, I promise :-)

Hi Val,
libido gone - sounds par for the course as I recall by t-girl friend say: She'd gone completely "flat"... obviously not about what was removed/inverted.

Had return of GID symptoms starting last night after 3 days off E. Not so nice to put simply. Nasty reminder where all this had started. Maybe get better to handle it each time? Let's hope.

Jess,
thanks hon for words of wisdom and support. Will keep that in mind for sure i.e. just hang in there :-)

Nothing ever seems simple in this here situation of ours. Makes we wonder what be next.

So good to know not alone in it and that SURE helps!
Thanks girls,
Axelle
