Peecock binders review

So, I just received the Peecock binders I ordered the other day, and since I've not seen a lot of feedback on them, I thought I'd write up a quick review of my impressions so far.  I ordered the camouflage full length binder in white, and the V-neck mid length binder in black.

Camouflage full length binder:

I'm so incredibly underwhelmed by this binder.  The material is flimsy and the construction is shoddy.  The tank layer is a spandex-like silky knit which will surely snag soon, and the stitching was coming loose around the neck and shoulder piping right out of the bag.  The inner binding layer is only one layer of jersey mesh, so I can't imagine it would do much for those over a B cup.  It gets me pretty flat, but that's not hard to do, I'm a small B cup with much of that just being skin, I'm pretty pliable, ha.

The biggest drawback is that the inner layer where the velcro attaches to the top layer at the side was sewn incorrectly, so that when I unfastened the velcro to put it on for the first time, the stitching on the armhole piping ripped, before I had even tried it on!  I sew though, so it's easily fixed, but for those who don't, it would need to be returned, and I bet that's a real joy with Peecockproducts being in Singapore.

Basically, I'll use this thing because I don't have time to deal with the return and it's for a cosplay outfit so my binder doesn't show with a sleeveless shirt, but I doubt I'll use it much outside of cosplay.

V-neck mid length binder

The construction and fabric on this one is better, it feels very solid and the lining fabric is nice and soft.  It uses industrial strength velcro and seems to be comprised of a few layers.  The style is somewhat feminine though, with the racer cut back, low cut armholes in the front, and v-neck with piping, added to the somewhat swimsuit feeling fabric, it looks like a women's bathing suit top.  Not necessarily an issue for everyone, it annoyed me though.

It does seem to be more effective at binding that the camouflage binder, and the v-neck is cut low enough that I could wear my scrub top without the need for an undershirt, which is why I purchased this binder, but I found it rather uncomfortable.  Up until now I've only used Underworks Tri-top binders, and I've had no complaints.  I find them reasonably comfortable and wear them 12-15 hours a day with minimal discomfort, and never any problems breathing or any rib or chest pain, only itching and the occasional underarm chaffing.

I can't say the same of the Peecock v-neck binder.  I only wore it for about 9 hours, but by the end of that time period, my ribs under my arm pit hurt a lot, and breathing hard/physical exertion made them hurt worse, particularly on the side with the velcro.  I don't believe I had it too tight, as things were shifting a tiny bit throughout the day, if you get my meaning.  I don't see myself wearing this binder unless my tri-tops show through whatever shirt I want to wear, and definitely not to work since my job is so physical.

I might update this when I actually get to wear the camouflage binder for an entire day, but overall, my recommendation is to save your money, with the $20 shipping, I didn't find them worth it at all.

Can I ask what kind of physical job you have? I work where I'm constantly moving, and even the tri top doesn't always stay put.

Wow, okay thanks for the review.  I was about to spend entirely to much money on the camouflage binder.

I'm also pretty small so I was looking for a lighter weight binder than Underworks sells.  Sounds like I should keep looking.

Actually I'm not that surprised.  I stopped trusting them when I read their claim of the peecock staying put in only underwear.

By this, do you mean you don't trust any packer to stay put in your underwear (without a harness or something similar)? Or is there another reason you don't trust this? Because for me, I've never had trouble packing when wearing briefs or boxer-briefs. It never really moves. I used to pack with socks, now I finally have a GV packer. Never had problems with either method, so I don't see why the peecock wouldn't stay put too. The only issue for me is boxers - then I have to either wear briefs or something underneath, or have a pouch or something (I don't like harnesses). So, maybe it works for some people and not for others? I don't know.

Okydoky, great name btw, I'm sure you are right.  In that statement I only spoke for myself and my experiences.  Obviously.  I can't speak to anyone else's.

Once I had a very near miss when I was just wearing a stp modified GV packer just in my very tight briefs.  I'm a very active person.  I run, wrestle, kickbox, strength train and bounce around with my kids.  The thing very nearly fell out when I was at the gym doing squats.  Scared me quite a bit because that would have been extremely embarrassing.  Not to mention dangerous because I wasn't out at the gym.  There is no explaining away a soft dildo like thing with cut medicine spoon in the back falling out of your pant leg.

So now I have a bad knee jerk reaction to that statement.  Obviously I'm not the only one because they do sell harnesses on that site.  I'm sticking to the prosthetics that I can simply glue to my body and forget about.

Yeah, I haven't used mine while doing anything more than going for a short run. So I imagine maybe something way too rigorous might be much more risky. Ideally, I'd love to have those "adhesive" prosthetics, but, as you know, they're much more expensive than the likes of the GV packer. My plan is to just use these cheap ones until I can save up enough for something like the Tyron 3. That one sounds EXTREMELY promising. And if it's extra-durable, it might last me a "lifetime".

To get back on topic, glad to hear a review of those binders. Hopefully there will be more reviews so it's not just one person's opinion, although this one does sound pretty objective. So far, I'm most impressed by Love Boat, followed by Underworks. That pretty much sums up my "commercial" binding experiences.

I work in a kennel.  It's not really constant repetitive movement, but we are running around all day, often getting dragged by giant dogs and lifting and carrying heavy supplies and doing a lot of cleaning.  With a tight fitting tri-top I have no shifting problems, but then gravity isn't really trying too hard since I'm small chested.

No problem, glad to save someone $50.  The camouflage binder just doesn't look like it's going to stand up to much wear at all, so I can't recommend it for other than very occasional and special purposes.  The character I'm cosplaying is wearing a visible white tank top under a vest, and rather than try to pin or tuck a binder under a tank, I figured I'd save myself the hassle and heat of another layer.  For that purpose I imagine it will work fine, but I expect even hand washing it will wear it down quickly, it's pretty delicate.

Thanks for the review, I hadn't ordered any yet, but I was about to. Might just get another loveboat one.
