Laser vs Electrolysis

I am debating on which to start and I would like to hear some opinions on both of these from some people who have gone through it themselves, any help is as always greatly appreciated

If you have "good contrast" light taint and brown or darkish facial hair you be a good candidate for laser.

You still need plenty repeat session, maybe 20 or some more and it will still produce re-growth but only little. Cost is almost 10 times as electrolysis per session. 15min Laser Session ~ 50min electrolysis session.

If mostly grey, blond or white hair only electrolysis will work. Plenty issue with re-growth, plan for >250hrs for electrolysis.

Both are painful! I had both and it is PAINFUL! Period.

Gold plated needles are a little less "prickly" painful. But moustachioed area is REAL nasty!!!

Laser isn't always permanent removal... though it's usually at the very least a permanent reduction.  I've only had one treatment so far and thrilled with the results. Monday will be three weeks and within another three or four weeks the next growth pattern should be going strong and I'll make a second appointment.

I was told on average it takes about six or seven treatments and the laser tech told me to expect 85 to 90 percent reduction when it's all said and done.

Electrolysis is always permanent removal and not just a reduction, but it's a very very long and painstaking process. Laser is the much quicker and easier of the two options.

It's one of those questions that's hard to answer. As stated above by Axelle laser is highly dependent on skin tone and color of the hair being treated.

For me personally being a good candidate for laser I decided to go that route and if anything  remains after that treating the remainder with electrolysis.... doing it that way if I have to eventually get electrolysis it should be a much shorter and easier process. If nothing remains after the laser treatments, then all the better.

I would just go with laser if you have anything more than a small (and I mean small) amount of facial hair. Spending even >10 hours getting it removed is ridiculous to me and there are people that say they spend >100 hours - that's ludicrous!
