Those who wrestle with God will get more than those who merely kneel and worship God. The wrestler will have personal contact, and not just the fleeting shade of God's shadow that the kneeler will get.
You might though look up what went on with old Elijah in 1 Kings 19:12. Hint, God makes Himself known to Elijah in either "a still small voice (KJV) or others (NRSV) that say "in the sound of complete silence". Not a promise of things to come, but a "heads up!" I've been caught there a time or two.
Those who look for God will see Him, but maybe not as we expect. Get out and do something for yourself that includes doing something for others. If you can do something to help someone else, chances are they will see a helpful person and not a "terrible transgendered person". Maybe this is what is wanted, Nah too easy! When Mother Teresa of India was asked how she could do her work on the often filthy and rag clothed beggars, she pointed to one of them and replied to her questioner "That is our Brother Jesus in distressing disguise!" Listen even in silence, and do not always believe what your eyes and nose tell you about a person. You will find out by doing things!!
