help... i dont know what to do

Hi, my name is Ray and I am a ftm transguy.
I will be 18 in october and want to get top surgery and start taking testosterone as soon as possible
afte my birthday. My question is  ... how do I get started with all of this? Also I want to change my
name and everything over to male right before I get top surgery. I would like to get the top surgery
before i start testosterone, because I am top heavy..and I dont want a deeper voice with a big chest. :/

Answer to all your questions is ... it depends

First, with the T ... some places will give it to you via informed consent some require a therapy letter.  So, you need to figure out where you would like to get T prescribed and what their requirements are.

Same goes for top surgery.  In my town there are two surgeons who preform top surgery -- one requires a letter and one doesn't.  One also requires that your on T for at least 3 months before surgery so she can line up the nipple grafts where your pec muscles will be so it looks more natural.

If you give a bit more information -- what country your in ... and if your in the USA then what state -- you could get more directed information

thanks for your answer.  I live in the US in Texas and I'm pretty sure i will be going out of town for the top surgery
because there are no surgeons here that specialize in transgender surgery
I'm just not sure what doctor i'll go with for the surgery.
