how do I add a picture into post without having to host the picture on the internet, like the avatar pic I uploaded?

click the image icon (looks like a little nature scene with trees), the copy the url inside the brackets.

you can post into the gallery here (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?action=gallery) Then you can copy the image url properties (right click on image)

(replace the <> with [] brackets)
