Hi I'm AFAB/FTM/trans man. Started transitioning in 2022 at age 36. I grew up in a conservative/religious household and didn't have the best childhood. However I was able to move away in 2017 and am now 200+ miles away from birth family. Big believer in chosen family. I now have great social support, gender affirming care and positive mental health. I love my trans family.

Thank you for your introduction and it's great to have you here. Your account of family life is certainly familiar to some others here on Susan's too. But I'm glad to hear that despite this you have managed to build your own support network. We look forward to learning more about you and hope you find the content here useful too.
