Hi
This going to be an open thread for anyone of any inclination of anywhere and anytime.
Let's build a group of people, called 'us', who will be around during the holiday seasons, if you are feeling lonely, missing your family, your life has gone into the toilet, it never got out of the toilet , or stuff has so changed or you have problems coping during the season; post in here.
There is no professional advice just people going through the same stuff and giving mutual support.
Respond if you can and lets help each other during what can be a terrible and lonely time.
We can wish each other good elf
Cindy
Hi Cindy. Sounds like a great idea. I don't know where I'll be for Christmas yet, so could well be online.
Seeing I have become an atheist Existentialist, I might choose to celebrate it, but I might not either. ;)
Karen.
*Raises hand*
I am definitely one of 'us' who will most likely be alone and online through the holidays
It is a very difficult time of year for me

I'm a loner, sign me up for the us club. And good elf to you, Cindy! Hugs, Tracey
I wont exactly be lonely but my parents will be out of the country for Christmas and the New Year. I'll definitely miss them during those times.

Me too. Happy Elf to you all.

IDK whats going to happen for me this x-mas. I try to tell my self "Hey jesus was born in march, and you don't even believe in that crap" But hopefully I can spend it with my friends :D I got this cute 50's house wife dress on Overstock that I want to wear. But my fam is all half way across the country and I have to go on a job on the 26th so I can't go visit :P
Jeep's Jennifer is a popular name here!
I am terrified and scared and sad and I am going to cry and cry and cry.
When I was little Christmas was so important. My parents half killed themselves to make it all magical, and to make sure we didn't know how much they worked and went without to make it happen. They did a great job.
At some point (when I was 12?) they stopped caring, though, and I haven't had a christmas I didn't create since. It's difficult, and I'm not sure how up for it I am this year. I'm the only grownup. I'm Santa, I get the tree, I do the cooking, I wrap the gifts, I make sure the power stays on so we can have our pretty lights, and above all, I keep myself together because anxiety or weakness could destroy the magic of it all.
I don't have a boyfriend and my parents don't love me. My kid loves me so much that every move I make is scrutinized and taken as godly. I don't have close friends because I've kept people at arms length for awhile now. I'm tired and worried.
That whining aside, I'm here too for anyone else who's feeling alone this season. The holidays can be wonderful, but they call attention to family and normalcy and comfort, things that not all of us have.
Well
Things are looking up. Even Elfy. There are now 8 of us who will be together in thought and in contact, and the post has been up for less than 24 hours.
Lets plan some festivities.
Happy December! :icon_drunk:
Happy Winter Solstice Everyone (Dec. 21st) in the northern hemisphere, and Happy Summer Solstice in the southern hemisphere :icon_drunk:
(I don't drink but I'm willing to learn)!
Christmas was always a time of high anxiety and worry for me when I was a kid. Parents were always stressed out because of lack of money. Drinking even more than usual, fighting more than usual and taking it out on me more than usual. Along with my GID it made my childhood even more confusing and frightening.
That was then and this is now. Great thread Cindy!
Happy Elf everyone!
J.
Cindy:
Done deal, girl! Actually, your special thread here enticed me to "come out of retirement" on these forums and jump back into the fray to support, encourage and help those in need and especially those not as far along in the process as you and me.
In less than 2 weeks, I'll be on HRT for 2 years. My avatar photo is from a year ago ... Thanksgiving Day (U.S.A.) of 2010 ... and needs updating. Yeah, I'll do that eventually.
Anyway, "Joy to the World!" During these holidays, let us keep one another company, give one another encouragement and offer one another friendship. Social and financial status does NOT matter here. Besides, life is to short to worry about such silly things.
Despite all our struggles and hurts as trasngendered people, let us concentrate on the GOOD in our lives, and I'm here to tell you that the good IS there! Seek it, and you will find it!
Happy Holidays! ;) Lacey Lynne
Hi Lacey,
It's so awesome to hear from you again! ;D
Yes, let's focus on the good.
Happy Solstice to everyone!
Jennifer
Hi Lacey,
Great that you are back and in time for Christmas.
Cindy
Great idea ! I'll be working which is a good thing but having it all centred around family and loved ones kind of sucks for those of us who are alone.
sigh.. the world is definitely built for two ...... >:-)
I'm alone and the holidays can be rough.Good Elf to everyone.Hugs,Rachael.
So, ah, color me stupid maybe, but what is Elf?
Elf is singular for elves. It is also a bad play on words for Cockney rhyming slang, elf and health, I wish you good elf.
Santa manages to get his pressies out due to Good Elf.
You ain't stupid, just not talking the talk.
Good Elf to you

Time for some Christmas Carols to get us going.
BTW since I'm in Australia and Christmas is hot weather with daylight saving so it is light until 9 pm'ish, we do not get people walking around doing Christmas Carols. In the UK this used to happen. Is it still a practice in the Frozen North? I mean people coming to the door to sing?
OK we have to fill in the words. We will have the consensus carol. Preferably funny and rude of course.
we can vote on the version we like.
On the First day of Christmas my XXXXXXX brought to me XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I learn so much from this site. Justmeinoz taught me the word 'glassing.' I just googled 'pressie,' and the word crimbo came up. I know of Crimbo from Kingdom of Loathing, but I'm pretty sure KOL is run by a guy in the states. Lol I feel like such a provincial kid.
Looks like I'll be around most of Christmas Day.. The entire family thing is being put off until a single family member can be in town.. >:(
Oh and Cindy, I'll be having a bottle of something bubbly on the day.. Feel free to swing past for a glass...

And guess what it is working, we are not alone we have each other, many of you have my phone number feel free to use it if the clouds come in.
Now.
Favourite Christmas drinks. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.
I like champagne . That by the way is a full stop.
Cindy
On the third day of Christmas the UPS driver brought to me 3" stiletto heels
On the fourth day of Christmas my Bottle Shop brought to me 4 bottles of Bollinger...
Somebody mentioned vegan eggnog recently. Eggnog is so special, but every year if I drink it I get terribly sick (because I'm usually vegan), so if I have pocket money and can find the stuff I'll have that, and I think it's rum that people put in it, so I'll get that too.
Otherwise I guess I'll just throw some cinnamon and nutmeg in some coffee or hot cocoa. :D
On the fifth day of Christmas my surgeon brought to me Five Golden Dilators!!!
I use to love eggnog but I haven't had any for a long time :) Maybe I'll have to pick some up and give it a try
on the sixth day of Christmas my Pharmacist brought to me six bottles of 'E'.
"On the Seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, Seven thongs for swimming." Mmm, eggnog!
On the 8th day of Solstice, Susan's Website gave to me, Eight Wonderful Friends! :)
J.S.
On the ninth day of Christmas someone brought to me ...(draws deep breath) ... nine kitties crying, eight wonderful friends, seven thongs for swimming, six bottles of E, Fiiiiive Golden Dilatooooors, four bottles of bollinger, three stiletto heels, two 600cc BA inserts and a letter of recommendation for Sex Reassignment Surgery.
"On the tenth day of Christmas, at my door I did see, ten lords with whom I'm sleeping!"
On the eleventh day of Christmas Firefox brought to me eleven new forums for posting
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true brought to me 12 lovers licking
Santa Joke.
How does Santa like his Pizza?
Deep and Crisp and Even
Think about it and Christmas Carols

Thats one awesome song !!!
If we had more people who were more active we could do this song:
100 bottles of E on the wall, 100 bottles of E ... take one down and (something something) now we have 99 androgynes on the wall.
99 androgynes on the wall, 99 androgynes ........
But we are too few I'm afraid.
btw, don't get the joke but I don't have that great of humour
Good King Wenceslas looked down...

Do people have g-mail, yahoo mail camera access etc? Skype doesn't work for me for some reason. Lets make sure we have camera action available. Yes boys and girls we are going to be LIVE at each others parties. If you are by your self you will be with others, so there in no excuse not to dress up and look the gorgeous party person.
And guess what? If you think you don't pass and will be embarrassed, we don't give a rat's arse. Because we are friends.
So make sure we are ready it takes a few minutes to create an account, they are free.
Cindy,
All I want for Christmas are two big tits, Whoops sorry.
Looks like I'll have to venture into the warren that is the spare room and find the web cam then. This could be interesting. >:-)
I had to dig my web cam out from the wire jungle behind my desk  It had fallen down back there months ago, I'll have to test it to make sure it still works
How am I supposed to mope around being sad and lonely over the holidays when I have to be around all of you wonderful friends?
I don't have a web cam or an account :embarrassed: but it's time for me to try something new! Maybe I should just get a new laptop with a built in cam. ??? Are you listening Santa?
Jingle bells,
Jennifer
I've got accounts for most of the web cam chat places.. Let me know which one we decide on..
Bah Humbug i'm gonna be alone without a web cam and so bah humbug
I'll be taking care of mom and my 2 puppycats
but i do wish you all a happy time :D
