I am pre-op, and am having a difficult time finding panties that fit just right. I wear a size 4, and have only found one style that works. They are low cut bikini, cotton, from Haynes. The problem with them is I can't be too active. If I even attempt to run things fall out. I tried a size 4 boy short cut since it has more fabric, but they are too loose. Do any of you ladies have some suggestions on a brand, and style I could try. I want cotton because it breaths better, but finding size 4 is not too easy. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
You could try a gaff or a panty girdle. Some have used the top portion of a pair of control-top nylons.
I am really hoping to not have to use a gaff or girdle. The low cut bikini give me a good line. I was hoping to find a cut that could hold things in when I am a bit more active than just walking around.
Have you tried using a pad? It can help hold things in place. There is also panties called "period panties", They are a little wider in the crotch. Not sure on the styles however.
Have you tried taping? Some good grade medical tape works well, even for swimming and you can get it in 3 inch widths.
No, I haven't tried using a pad or taping. Would taping hurt when I am active (like running)? I am not sure if a pad will work too well since my problem is keeping the two things up where they go. But...I am willing to try just about anything.

I actually tape for two to three days at a time. Its never hurt me yet and I have ran, walked, swam, etc with no issues. I do use a good breathable tape and do it in such as way that going to the restroom is no issue and it holds up fine when getting wet. I prefer Medipore, but Durapore works ok too, but doesn't adhere as long. Both are 3m tapes. I don't sweat much, so cleanliness isn't an issue. Others' experiences could be different and you'd probably want to start out with shorter taped times until you learn how you may react to it.
Jaime, thank you for the advice. I will have to look into those.
I once saw a video on youtube, where someone had 2 underpants,
the first one where tight and used to hold it in place.. where you put the snake behind, and pull the pants up like a G-string.
(kind of hard to explain)
and then you used normal underpants outside the first one.
I havent tried it so I dont know how it is,
I always wore two pairs of panties at once. I found that worked quite well. Even when things slipped out it still held things in close enough.
I was having the problem of stuff falling out. I try something new. I slipped a sock over it and tucked it and pulling the sock up the back. the sock holds it in place so it's not falling to either side of panties. Works for me. it's not very bulcky either.
there are a lot of panties that are microfiber bikini cut that is made where you wont have that problem.
Thank you all for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it.
Tucking should help
2 pairs of knickers one a bikini and the other a support briefs on the outside with a liner to absorb moisture works well, I found the problem with normal pads is they is more bulk and are more noticeable when wearing tight shorts or pants, but what works for one will differ from the next person so don't be afraid to experiment with different options till you find what works best for you....
Cheers Tracy

Tucking should help
I tried Tucking many years ago, it was so awful and very uncomfortable. I'm lucky my appendage is quite small now and tucking isn't needed.
Thanks ladies. I so tuck. I use the method of putting the acorns in my abdomen, and putting the tree between my legs. With the right bikini it stays put quite well assuming I do not try to run. So far, it seems that most others use two pairs of panties. I think that will probably be my next test. I cannot use a pad because right now I am married, and my wife is already uncomfortable with me just wearing panties. So...until she is more comfortable, or leaves me I will have to avoid pads.
in that case, you'd likely want to avoid the taping too. Try looking around online for a gaff, I've never used one but I imagine it would stay more stable than an extra pair of panties.
(This is assuming you aren't planning to show your underwear or torso to anyone.)
For now, I'm still using my male underwear (Snob boxers), and they work fine, mostly. I tuck, then I pull them up (UP, like, they almost reach my chest), and it mostly holds things well. Since there's a lot of "surface", it just can't slip out. The only issue is that it tends to go down with my pants, which have that nasty habit because I don't have enough hips for them, but then, a discreet (or not) pull does the job. And if I don't do it too hastily, it can hold on even when I run.
The cool thing is that since this underwear covers a large surface, even if the tucking doesn't hold, it doesn't make anything visible (or hardly so); everything stays downwards/backwards, just not tightly. That's because this model doesn't have a "pocket" in the front for the parts. Since there's no extra room in the front, the parts don't tend to go there.

That's what i do and so far it has worked.
Once again, thank you all for taking the time to help me. It is really nice to get advice on this kind of stuff. A, I will not be able to try wearing male underpants. I just cant bring myself to do that. It makes me feel like I am cross dressing. But, I thank you for taking the time to let me know what works for you.
I got rid of all my male boxers...never to be seen again!
For me anyway, Victoria's Secret "lacy Hipster" hiphugger style works the best, I have never had the "fall out" issue yet with those, also I dont care for the bikini cut styles and prefer "low rise" undies and pants since I'm tall and on the thin side.
Its so funny when the new V.S. catalog shows up and Marybeth and I fight over who gets it first :) and she always makes a point to tell me when she places an order and if I need anything added...that is so sweet of her ;)
"Medipore and Durapore"
Hi Jamie, where do I find such tapes? I am also looking to hide something as much as possible and be able to go to the restroom hassle-free....
Thanks in Advance! :-)
:-\ a size 4 is loose, i'm jealous....
Being a size 4 is not that great. It is hard to find clothes that fit. Especially since I have to pretty much bye everything online since my wife is still too uncomfortable with me shopping in public.
I wear a size 6 and it's hard to find clothes in that size for my long legs and arms....tall and thin has its issues when it comes to shopping.
Yep, I know what you mean. I am not too tall, 5'10" but I have a 34" in seam, a short torso, and long arms. I have always been told a have a feminine torso. My hips and ribs almost touch.
@Jamie,
Hi Jamie, much thanks for your msg: it was very informative and I really appreciated it. Additionally: no, you did not go on for too long, on the contrary, you were detailed and deliberate and I personally really like that! :-)
One question, though: where do I find the tape retail (I am not a fan of ordering stuff online)?
Well, two questions, I guess :-), what are the long term dangers of tucking???
Cheers,
Andi
I had the same exact problem a few years ago. I had tried many different styles and brands spending a lot of money. Then I found the perfect brand/style and have been buying them ever since. They are the KMart brand PinK in the briefs style. They fit well and have enough sideways stretch for what I need them to do.
Hopefully this helps. Good luck.
Thank you for the advise. It is great to be able to talk to women who have gone through this.
