I went to all the malls and stores to find what i liked the most on me.It's my fav for now.
Liz Taylor's White Diamonds. That's my current fave!
One of the classic perfumes, Estée is my favorite.
Issey Miyake

Right now I use Elizabeth Arden, Green Tea Scent. Who know what I will try when this bottle is empty.

I'm going to have to say most anything from Vitorias Secret. I also like fruity scents, it's not as over powering as the strong stuff. My sister is a store manager of Victorias Secret anyhow, so I get hooked uup from time to time with gifts from there.

Hehe, I actually don't usually wear perfume much. I need to get some, but I've borrowed whatever Rashelle had on the couple of times I did wear it.
That would mean Melissa has worn chanel #5, tommy girl, and my favorite lady stetson.
Rashelle
I don't wear any perfume -- although I'd like to from time to time. I've been keeping an eye out for ones to test and see if I like them or not.
I have three other roommates, all GG girls, and none of them actually wear perfume either.
Someone gave my wife a bottle of Mary Kay "Elige" - she didn't like it and asked me if I wanted it. The bottle's almost empty now so who knows what will be next?
How do you try a bunch of perfumes to figure out what you like and not walk out of the store smelling like a, well, you know?

I started transition in earnest jan 2005. for a decade before that time, I wore Stetson and Lady Stetson at the same time. During transition, I wore only Lady Stetson. Now, I get Imari from our Avon lady. Imari is w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l-l-y female! I guess it's a floral musk. I wear it all the time at home, and at work. My deodrant is Secret, violet. The guys talk behind my back, and the women treat me as family 8)

Another person who uses Rapture when she can afford it, which is rarely. Other than that I go with whatever soaps or whatever may leave behind.

I have worn "Red Door" by Elizabeth Arden for a long time.... I still love it and have a half a bottle. I recently became hooked on Este Lauder "Youth Dew". It was recommended to me by my makeup lady at the mall.... I love Este Lauder lip and eye products, and now I am a fan of their perfume :)

Very rarely because I had a deviated septum which was removed when I was 20 and the surgeon destroyed ~90% of my sense of smell. I literally have to stick my nose in something to smell anything, except the obvious, like hot food, cooking, etc. Otherwise it's just the occasional Donna Karen's Cashmere mist lotion to prevent over doing it. Nice question.

Sorry for the girls that don't wear perfume but a woman has to wear perfume. The male days are over! I wear Anais made by Jordache.

I hope you're kidding. A lot of "real" women don't wear perfume, for work, medical or personal reasons. Wearing perfume is not a sign of anyone's womanliness, it's a social right of woman as men wear cologne or aftershave, but not a requirement. And have you ever been in the vicinity of a woman wearing a perfume too strong or makes you sick? Logic like that makes one wonder if it's just a sign of the class discrimination in the transcommunity ("Real women do...."). It's not right or fair.
--Susan--
I agree Susan. I once read a post where someone actually stated that if one cut her legs while shaving then she was not a "real girl." ::)
I'd like to know where these ideas come from so I can start a fire bomb campaign. ;D

If she cut her legs while shaving, it means she just pulled a new raser out of the package.

Ah, but you stated this as fact and didn't prefix it with something like "I think", "I feel that", or even "In my opinion".
Either way, I picked up some perfume this weekend. I got white diamonds and rapture because I liked those scents.
When this thread was started it reminded me that I didn't wear anything. The opportunity presented itself shortly after and I go with a very nice "Simply Basics" brand body mist. *nods twice*

Ok, it's just
your opinion. But recognize some professions require men and women not to wear cologne/aftershave or perfume, respectively, such as medical, or find wearing it isn't necessary for the job, such a EMT, firefighter, athletics, construction, research, laboratories, etc. It's a privilege for some occasions, but not a requirement of one's sex/gender. That's my opinion. And I'm equally serious. Take a look around you and ask how many genetic women wear perfume on a daily basis.

Be Delicious by DKNY. It smells really fresh and fun but not overpoweringly sweet or strong. Its great! I bought the set with the lotions so it cost a little more, around 70 US dollars. Im not sure about the refilling but probably not.

I was only responding to your original comments. We know the male days are over, that point didn't need to be made, and, as I said, quite a few women don't wear perfume for work, often required such as medical conditions or professions, unnecessary for work or life, or just a personal preference, so to say "a woman has to wear perfume" wasn't fair or right. As I said, it's a social privilege and choice when and where appropriate. I'm only suggesting to avoid absolutes when they don't apply.

No problem, I was relaxed when I wrote that. I was only describing why people reacted the way they did. 8) I imagine the way that english is used in Europe is slightly different than it is here. You take a direct approach with your statements and while I admire that (I do it too), others may not. :)
It's not really (just) a question of English being used differently in Europe; the thing to keep in mind is thar for quite a few of us, English is not the native language. We may look fluent, because you can't see the accents, but that just makes for a few more opportunities for miscommunication. ;)

Yeah, that makes sense. :)
I stopped weariing perfume a while ago cause I couldn't find anything I like so I now use Impulse groove body mist even thow I've got expensive Perfume sitting on the shelf from friends.
