Hello, please offer online solutions.
Links preferred, I can also use Google if you give me the right search term.
No, I do NOT want cross dresser links that only serve to put me looking at dumb ass 3-5 inch heels as if real women actually wear those on a common day in common clothing.
I want common, ordinary BLAND EVEN female fashions that just happen to be in MY size. I take something like a 10ish sized shoe. Male size 10, and I have no idea how that converts.
I'm looking for a shoe I can wear from home to the mall on foot for 3 hours and not end up injured. I am NOT going from home to car to store to car to home. I am NOT interested in anything that belongs under a fancy dress or on an exaggerated street walker. Something sandal like would be nice, something enclosed would be nice, and I don't want running shoes. I like well made leather shoes. I'd rather pay 150 bucks (like I normally do for ordinary men's shoes) rather than 20 bucks for cheap junk. Given time, I'd like something for winter, but, I'd rather just concentrate on something that won't look fashion dead with a skirt on.
I have a few things preventing me from wearing a skirt, all of them fashion sense oriented, as I want to look crappy as much as any other woman wants to look crappy (even though some women seem to be unaware of what crappy looks like). Shoes is high on this list, and of course, I need a better head of hair and a nicer waist size.
You can't go wrong with Zappos, if you don't like the shoes, they pay the return shipping. Sizes run to 15. Happy shopping, hugs, Devlyn

Barefoot Tess is good for larger sizes...

Payless (http://www.payless.com/store/catalog/category.jsp;jsessionid=407490C3B2F9AB003FAD6F1BAB87BD29.pss-app-03-p-app1?catId=cat10088) has online, and brick and mortar stores.
Once you know your exact shoe size, you can order from amazon, Walmart and other stores.
My shoe size is 10 in both men and women in the US.
I order 'wide' size if available.
For >3 inch heels, you may add 1 size, or 2 if the wide size is not available.
As I live in south Korea, I ordered flat sandals and then 4 inch heels from Amazon. The heels I wear in avatar is from Amazon (size 10, 4 inch heel).

Right now, I wear a womens 11, 12, or 13, depending on the manufacturer. And half sizes if I can find them
I bought mine at KOHL's spent 2 hours wandering around the women dept they have great sales.
My size is also 10 and that is the size I bought and they fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

DBBAILEYBLUE SIZE 10
BOX ID 727
4" HEEL makes me about 6'7"
They look great with jeans and I can spend all day walking in them.
Lesley, I feel for you girl friend. It seems we all have such huge feet. Oh what we would all give to have nice little womens size 7-8 feet. I'm 9 /12 to a 10 however they are so/too wide. Good luck.
If in UK Debenhams have a good range up to 10 I think. One brand in particular is very good for my size 9s: Good for the sole.

Male size 10, and I have no idea how that converts.
In US shoes, the sizes usually convert by subtracting 2 from the female size to end up with the male size (I am a size 6 in female shoes, so I am a 4 in boys). You should be a size 12 in female shoes.
Dillard's has "extended sizes" for women's shoes: http://www.dillards.com/shop/Shoes-Women-Extended-Sizes/_/N-y3i4 (http://www.dillards.com/shop/Shoes-Women-Extended-Sizes/_/N-y3i4)
DSW Shoes has a really good selection in the larger sizes. The Rack also appears to have some good ones but they are a bit more pricey.
This seems funny however it works. To fit into normal women's pointy shoes tape around your big toe & all other toes to form more of a natural point for your foot. It does not hurt at all & nice looking shoes feel great & it saves hurting or rubbing on your big toe.
Another vote for DSW and you can get some nice deals on the sale racks at the back of the store, Its funny when they tell you, "you saved $360 today on two pairs" well maybe, but I wouldn't have brought them if they weren't 70% off lol
Nobody seems to have mentioned Payless yet either.

I noticed recently Dorothy Perkins seem to have a good selection of size 9 (uk) online now. Hopefully picking up the hole left now new look have cut back. I just hope they start stocking them in store as well.
Probably a bit too far for people in the US, but for anyone in Europe, Amazon Deutschland is really good, by far the best site I have found eg. right now over 9500 styles to choose from in size 43 (10.5 U.S.) and 7500 styles in size 44 (12 U.S.).

Prices, especially during sales (Winter & Summer), can be really good too. Obviously, a minimum level of German is helpful but it is Amazon German which means everything is presented in the same way as on amazon.com etc..

I don't know where you're at Lesley but in the state QVC and The Home Shopping Network sell larger shoe sizes when they are selling women's shoes. I have seen up to size 12 and 13. And believe it or not they sell just as fast as the smaller sizes. Maybe we are gaining in numbers here.
I think it goes up from men's sizes from 11/2 to 2 sizes larger. I guess I'm luck because I wear 9 in men's and usually 10's in womens, some more comfortable than others though.
OP- I don't know if you need to/want to lose any wait, but I lost a bunch of weight, and my shoe size went down. It made finding shoes so much easier!
Have you tried going to Payless? They're cheap and don't have a ton of selection, but they do have normal-looking shoes in size 11+ women's of decent quality.
You'd probably be a 11 or 12 in women's. Try DSW, Zappos, Shoebuy, Payless, or Nordstrom's.
I'm a cis gender female and I hate wearing serious heels as well. I love flats and I wear a women's 11W. One site that I frequent is Onestopplus. I have seen some shoes go up to 13.

Ninewest.com has sizes up to 11 even half sizes.
If it makes you feel any better I have size 13 feet. In Mens. I haven't even bothered going shoes shopping yet because I know it's going to be an impossible task.

Online isn't as bad as you'd think but it isn't great.
6pm.com
I've been buying my size 13's from them. Excellent company, lots of
clothing also. I believe they are somehow a division of Zappos.

I feel you my feet are 12.5" inches long putting me solidly in a mens 14.5EE-15 or a women 16.5E-17W I have yet to find anything.
To the OP at womens 12-13 zappos and amazon have some great choices and payless online is usually reasonable, I know in store is daunting but it really helps for you get a feel of your size across brands, DSW sales are great, they just don't come up to my size usually, but they often have 12-13s.
Best of luck to you and great courage go get'em Girl.

They have some styles in 12 too.
Ebay!!!! I get everything on Ebay. In fact you can find a lot of womens shoes in bigger sizes for cheap if you look, because there's not as much demand for them and people have a hard time selling them.
Unfortunately, some brands just don't go beyond 11 :( and a lot of us mtfs are right on the cusp. I think a womens 11 is about a mens 9. I don't have a lot of experience but it sounds like there's some variation... my feet are a little bigger, 9.5 is better but generally I have no problem with mens 9 whereas these shoes from china that are a womens 11 are pretty tight. It's not painful just to wear them although they are simple converse style shoes.
It's worth mentioning that
it IS possible to stretch leather shoes. They make shoe stretchers, I don't think you can go up more than a size but if you fall in love with something or you've bought something and can't return it, it could be worth it. It's probably possible with shoes made from other materials as well.

Congrats Brooke, losing weight is high on my list.
Something that happened to me, and I've heard others say the same thing, I found myself suddenly needing a larger shoe size somewhere around the age of 40 or so. I guess as the feet age, the various tissues yield to a lifetime of stress and weight bearing, with a resulting relaxation and expansion of the foot. On the plus side for MTF, seems there is some reduction in both hand and foot size as a result of HRT, although that may be more true for HRT at an early age, before the full masculinizing effects of indigenous T have set in.
I think there are some genetics to that, sometimes the bone will shift and get enlarged - luckily if that gets bad enough there are procedures that can get covered by insurance.
As for the effects of HRT, I've heard this recently, and I'm pretty skeptical. I know it reduces muscle, but bone?? ??? I kinda want to see some harder evidence.
You can always make your own shoes here http://www.shoesofprey.com/ (http://www.shoesofprey.com/) sizes run up to 15
Ferragamo, prada, miumiu makes nice comfortable heels.
I like ballet flats from bloch, it makes me wide feet look nice.
I don't like squeezing my feet to Manolos because that would just be funny.
Amazon, Zappos, 6pm are good sources for discounted shoes, and has big sizing too.
Don't know if it's been said, but I love Tom's (http://www.toms.com)! The go up to W12, have some unisex shoes, AND the give a pair away to those in need for each pair you buy.
I need a pair of unisex flats from there... the first pair I bought weren't too practical for the few outfits I have (lavender crochet flats).
