Title: To tuck or not to tuck
Post by: Crystal_Marie on November 01, 2013, 12:22:47 AM
I'm new to transition and am doing things very slowly starting with wearing what women's clothes I can get away with such as panties even to work. So the question is when wearing panties how does one tuck and move around comfortably? Is it easier/better to purchase and wear gaffes? Any assistance on this subject is appreciated. I have found so much information on other questions I had on this sight and I'm afraid the subject may be a little too personal but it is important for me.

Gaffs are OK and do the job, but nothing is comfy! Can't wait for SRS.  :)

I don't tuck, never have.. And I'm still waiting for it to cause a problem..

Yes, I will confess that I do 'adjust' things a little, but I don't tuck..

I tuck with a home made gaff all the time. At first it can be uncomfortable but you soon get used to it. I find I feel more lady like with that 'thing' well out of the way, it helps me to move and sit in a more feminine manner and to be honest, I wouldn't dream of not tucking now, it just doesn't feel right.

I've routinely spent 16 hours in a tuck and it's no less comfortable than a thong and tight jeans, the elastic can dig in to your hips a bit, but that's just part of being a lady and wearing tight pants lol.

I tuck using two pairs of panties slightly too small.

When I first started out it was kind of uncomfortable and I didn't send the boys all the way in, just kind of set them in the recess close to my body.

After a few weeks on anti-androgens, I'd gotten so much shrinkage that I could shove them all the way up the inguinal canal and not even feel it.

I rarely tuck.  I tried in the early days of my transition and found it too uncomfortable.  After my testicles shrank quite a bit after beginning HRT, I tried it again, and it worked out all right.  Frankly though, I find it a nuisance, and most of the time I can get away with it easily while just wearing tight panties, sometimes tights.  Always works well for me.

I have never done the who homemade gaff thing, though I do still have an interest in trying it out.

I wasn't the well endowed pre HRT and now I seem to manage to get without tucking thanks to shrinkage.

I tried it a few times and did like the additional flatness, but found that doing it frequently would cause me to have a flare up of epididymis. The last time it happened I was off work a couple days because I could barely walk. :(

My first tuck thing was the panty-hose-cut-at-legs...it worked very well, but a certain part would always chafe after a couple hours...fixed that with a short length of ultra-soft TP as a sort of pad...

Now with shrinkage, I just use the 2-pantie method.

Welcome to The Process!!

I've been tucking since about a month before I started hormones (so about a year consistently now) and I used a homemade gaff at first. It was super uncomfortable but after a week it became much less so.

I used to have to place those cysts very carefully or the attached cords would seem to become enflamed and that was very uncomfortable. After about a month on hormones, everything had shrunken and loosened up a bit which helped considerably.

At about 3 months into hormones (and tucking with a gaff for 4 months solid) I switched to the double panty method which has been comfortable and easy ever since.

Actually now I don't even need to do anything. If I pull up the panties with my back at the right angle and my legs bent a little in front of me, everything kind of situates and goes right where it should. Pretty neat how the body just seems to adapt :)

It will be painful at first and you will probably have some difficulty crossing your legs all the way, but it becomes much much easier the more you do it.

Especially not with the way I cross my legs. My legs feel more comfortable, but me, "parts" hurt, but I don't care too much for them.
I've tried tucking several times, but have never succeeded.

I actually just recently tried the taping method for the first time because I dressed up as leeloo from fifth element (in the strap outfit) for halloween. The gaff was clearly visible and the double panties cut into my hips slightly which looked weird so I had to take things a step further. Anyway I nailed the tape tuck on the first try and I even did it so it was possible to urinate. Luckily, I had seen some helpful tips on how to do it earlier on in transition.

It was so comfortable it blew my mind! If you try this, make sure that you are clean shaven ;) I will definitely be using it again if I need to, but the double panty is the most comfortable and convenient in my opinion.

Ask and you shall receive, in this case with a disclaimer of "for better or for worse" :police:

The costume required 3 pieces, some scissors and some sewing. First I picked up a white strapless bra thing at Target and then some white "hot shorts" from American Apparel. Then I cut up a white t-shirt into strips and sewed it together.

Awesome....too bad you're missing the orange hair.....

I didn't have time to find a wig, but my friends are throwing a "first halloween party of 2013" on the 9th. One of my other girlfriends let me know she has an orange wig that will be perfect, so, this coming saturday I will try to get a better pic with better lighting.

This is the classic pose leeloo makes that I will try to emulate:

I have never had a problem tucking....but I think I am doing something wrong!! Even though I can go to the gym with fitted yoga pants and nothing is ever visible...even though at times I feel it may be, but when I look in mirror (their everywhere in the gym) I see nothing!

I am always in a tuck position....I ride bike tucked, sit with legs crossed tucked, swim tucked and I'm even tucked while I sleep! One thing that has happened though...and I am unsure if it is common is that my testes have descended back into my body, similar to that of  a young boys that haven't dropped. I could stand naked and they don't fall!! It's almost as if I have had an orchy.

I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else??

I also have realized that I was never much endowed even though I thought I was at least near average....but that isn't the case! This may also help with tucking.

Woah, Jenny! I think I'm blushing :)

I don't tuck with the sort of stick them up there method. Tight panties and hrt pretty much keeps everything flat and out of the way.
