I imagine a lof people looked different before they started to transition. We've already seen Rachael's pics and a few others...
Here's a pic of me taken in 1975 (see aviator) long before transition and to me I haven't changed that much apart from getting older. As I had my thoughts of transitioning at an early age I tried not to stray from my original concept too much throughout my life......I'll try and rotate my pics in years as the days go on..
It would be interesting to hear from others and their stories...
??? what? this is insane! ::) ha ha ha ha ha i can't believe it!
okay i'll make an exception and post my before and after pics.
before (about ten or fifteen years ago; can't recall exactly)

estrogen does work >:D i hope i'm never asked again to post anything.
Don't know Katia, I sort of thought the before picture looked better, I'm strange that way...
I'll try to post something a more recent before-after tomorrow, last before-after was 2 months ago and as you saw with Katia, estrogen IS powerfull ;D
trust you to take the Michael.. Katia..... ok so let's scrap the topic... sorry for personally taking gender dysphoria as a serious subject...
what does gender dysphoria have to do with pics? unless we want to brag that we are better looking than everyone around us. let's talk about hormones, therapy, real life tests, surgery, feelings of inadequacy...that's what gid is about, not promoting our faces in cyberspace. incidentally, this is america, there are creeps everywhere.
This is not america, unless Canada is america (its north america though), and since I've got much worse and more dangerous creeps harassing me right off my front door, I'm not too worried what 13 year old boys can do on the internet (especially since I can hack them into the ground if I have too >:D )
Since people thinking they will be unpassable ever is one of the big issues, I think that before and after can help dispell this notion. I know that seeing some before and after photos on the internet helped me take the plunge; I saw that my fears may have been unfounded and they were (I had to hunt them down though since they are few and far between).
If anyone takes these before and after photos as some beauty, contest I don't see how this would be a problem with me or anyone else who does the same, instead of with those who feel this way.
If you want to be stealth, hey, no problem, but let me as open as I want to be, its my choice and you don't have to tune in.
seen my pics? OMG SPY!!!
(ehem)
yeah, i think its helpful to give folk hope of what can happen. i went from the ugly duckling to the beautiful swan.
We all change in our own subtle ways, and some require surgery to become better looking woman. Now as for myself, I have some good feminine features, and my boyfriend has told me that I am very pretty. So, even as a non-op transsexual, I don't think I'll be going under the knife.

Katia, your soooo bad >:D ;D
I think those that want to post some before/after pics is a great idea. They could very well be insperational to some of us newbies that have just started.
Often you look in the mirror, get a little depressed because you think nothing is happening, other than the breast area, you can feel and see that. ;)

(raises hand)
Definately helped me.
HOPE is what people here need most, IMHO. All the endless posts of
"I know *I* will never pass, it's hopeless so I'm thinking of killing myself" just break my heart. Everyone always thinks it works for everyone else, but they themselves are the one big exception. Transition itself is easy compared to breaking through all the self-doubt, shame and guilt which keep so many people trapped in a prison of insecurities and fears.
Just don't ask ME to post pics though, lol (though I once did). Not yet anyway.
But geez Berliegh, you already look female to me in that picture. I know you've mentioned that HRT didn't change you much, but maybe it's because you were female looking to begin with!
~Kate~
~laugh~ Oh dear. piccies can help to a point but if you don't get the benefits from hormones then nothing's going to help but facial surgery. I had to subject myself to extensive, painful FFS to look female. Hormones never liked me. :(

Why, thank you but no I look nothing like her. Her frame is much smaller than mine and I don't think she's 1.98m

I understand, I just was trying to be helpful since you have made the same typo a few times. I thought maybe you thought the pics really were "aviators" on the side there. You must be REALLY tired. ;)

Yea, I've had a few sleepless nights.....both my partner and mother have been ill in hospital......but you're right I've spelt it wrong too many times..
difference between her photo, and most. = lighting, and the shot is well set up. either by choice or luck. still, nice photo.
