It doesn't matter if you had/will have MTF sex reassignment, FTM bottom surgery or FTM top surgery. I think I have covered them all!
tink :icon_chick:
Always planned on Brassard... yet have this feeling it might somehow end up being Bowers... and yet McGinn is 10 miles from me and ops out of my local hospital, so it's very tempting...
~Kate~
I came back! I had forgotten to add Dr. Schrang! ;D Mine was Meltzer as you all know...
tink :icon_chick:
I'll be seeing Bowers July 8th :D
I was planning on "Meltzer" (i'm waaaaay ahead of myself here just starting out an all, but...).
He is here in Scottsdale now, which will cut a lot of the cost's out...God I can't wait... :(
Mine was Brassard.
Steph
It will be Thailand for me. Most likely, Suporn.
I am a Suporn Girl.
Face, boobs and Vagina.
I had Brownstein for top surgery. thinkin of Bowers for bottom. cant vote twice though. it aint fair  ;)
Just thought I should point out that Biber died in January of 2006... if your plans are to have surgery with him, you might want to consider a different option.
Annie! I've missed you :) Glad to see you back.

From what I understand your other options may be cheaper even with the distance involved. Meltzer is the most expensive option I've seen.
I'm no expert, but I've been doing a little research. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
It's going to be Brassard for me... May-ish *crosses fingers*

Annie! I've missed you :) Glad to see you back.
Thanks! Life has gotten busy; I still read the forum fairly regularly, but don't always have time to think through a response. But you can assume that I'm there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to pounce!
My wizard was Preecha.

I live in AZ myself, but alas, Dr. Meltzer is a "wizard" whose particular brand of magic is too expensive for me. I'm off to see a different "wizard", Dr. Chettawut, in April. More than a little out of the way for me, but he's in my price range and I've heard good things about him. Research is always important when choosing a doctor.
That was one reason for me to go to Thailand. It was cheaper. Also, my surgeon, like most in Thailand, does it in one step. I think Preecha retired, I heard he was. He taught a lot of the surgeons in Thailand.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. There are also some surgeons who are retired (Menard, Schrang, Seghers, Pichet and some others).
BTW, someone said that I hadn't included Dr. Kunaporn. ::) Well, Dr. Kunaporn is Dr. Sanguan. I guess some people in the community know him by both names.
tink :icon_chick:
That's a good thing to know Tink. It has confused me for years. Not that it matters to me anymore though.
Rashelle
It was Dr. Bowers. Exactly five months ago :)

Dr. "K" to those of us who were fortunate enough to choose him as surgeon! He did a wonderful job for me!
Hugs,
Sara ...
Actually, Royle would probably have been an excellent choice, his pictorial meows on the Lawrence website are beautiful.

I thought you went after me at the end of August?
Anyway, Dr. Bowers for me too. :D
August 29 to be precise. Have we met before? ;) Ha ha ha ha
So its Brassard just pipping Marci, with Suporn hot on their heels .... :) ....
Really surprised that Meltzer is not in contention ?
I'm of course a "Brassard girl", and he truly is a wizard !
Laura
Could someone produce a list like that for U.K surgeons? I can see there a couple of U.K NHS surgeons on the list, but none that are recommended and some have long since retired.
Nothing has happened yet, but I'm pretty much (well, about 98%) decided on Dr Haertsch, seeing as I don't want to travel overseas for SRS.
He's in Sydney, if you were wondering :).
Megan
Forgot Bev Fischer - the keyhole wizard!
WoW!!!! I Didn't know that there was that many to choose from. Which one is close to BOSTON? WOW ???
I had mine done by Dr. Chettawut last October, and I am more than ecstatic with the results.
Karen Starlene
Two weeks ago w/ Brownstein. He ROCKS!
I'm planning on Bowers, hopefully the summer of '09 barring any more financial disasters.
Karen Lyn
hi.... yes ity was sanguan so yes i am a sanguan girl 19 may 07 & it was neat there in phuket.....noeleena....
Time to bring back this topic, considering that everyone seems to be having surgery lately. I have added a few more surgeons!

Indeed, I did! She's been added to the poll now!

Still looking, but Tuan Nguyen is on the list because he is close to me. But if I didnt have to consider the raising of money I would most likely go with ether Bowers or McGinn.
But there is still a lot of time from here to there.
Janet
Suporn on August 7th.
Now if only I could sit properly without my doughnut.
Dr. Stanley H. Biber, April 15, 1974. He was the ONLY one doing regular surgery then - the few others were more "study groups" that were nearly impossible to get into. Dr. Biber waived his fee and did mine as "a charity case" because I was at the end of my rope and everybody knew it. He saved my life.
It will be Dr. Bowers, Sept 15, 2009, for me!
Val
I'm planning on Dr. Brassard towards the end of 2009, September would be about right. As previously mentioned, Dr. Meltzer is the most expensive, which, unfortunately, eliminated him from consideration. I feel that Dr. Brassard is an excellent choice, and he'll receive my deposit in January.
Marci Bowers will be my wizard in exactly 8 months, 1 week & 5 days from today!
Dr McGinn for me in may she will also do my ffs in october

Oh, you don't want me to tell you who the best of the best is, correct? I think all of you already know that! >:D oo we don't want to open a can or worms here!
tink :icon_chick:
Alright, one of us has to volunteer to have SRS with all of the doctors on that list, to find out who really is the best. :icon_razz:
It'll be Dr. Suporn for me. November 12 2008. & I'm already dreaming about my doughnut. lol
I've chosen Saran Wannacharmas partly due to the fact that he's Preechas' next in line, but mostly because in the 2 or so years (1 year on hormones and who knows how long on a waiting list) it will take before I can get fixed, should be enough time to get the money to pay for it.
That and the business class ticket over there :P

Neat trick!
I'd hate to wake up one morning and find my plumbing had grown back! Though in point of fact I have had those nightmares. I wake up screaming!

I will be a Bowers girl! I'd love to be able to pin a date. But, just not quite yet.
