Title: Day one...
Post by: sweetjohnnylat on March 09, 2018, 09:35:55 PM
Went to my dr appointment for a physical ended up getting my first prescription for estrogen and t blockers. Then went to work and finished my 9.5 hour day and rushed to cvs so I could start. I finally crossed my starting line hooray.

I have quit smoking a few times and now haven't had a cigarette since December 31, 2016.  In all cases I gained weight.  Some people say it's because the food tastes better, other's say it's to replace the hand to mouth movement.

I have heard that HRT will make you burn up more calories and require more intake.  What also blew me away was the need for "salt" due to the Spiro.  Heck, I quit using salt back at the beginning of my marriage to Wife #1 and used lemon pepper.

Also, I think there's a wee bit of water retention but that's only my opinion.

Congrats on the quitting of the cigarettes.  I had started when I made sergeant a thousand years ago and they were like a quarter a pack - crazy how much they are now.

Welcome aboard the E train.

If eating was a coping mechanism you'll probably do less of it, though it seems to vary a lot for people.

I smoked American spirits and quit two weeks before starting HRT. I'd only been smoking this time around for five months. As for eating I usually never really craved food before I have my routine and eat the same thing day in and out. I'll blame it on the new meds cause I'm not really gaining weight I hover round 190 at 6-5

Oh, okay.  Heck, since I quit smoking I've lost at least 2 inches it seems.
