I just looked in the mirror and saw my sister, and then this question came to mind.
I look like my sister.
I look very similar to my mother when she was in her twenties.

I look a lot like my mother. Some would say act like her, too, lol. I have no comment.
I never had a sister, but my middle brother looks a lot like my dad. Although my youngest brother also looked more like my mother, too.

@Sephirah are you able to get a side by side pic with her?
I've thought about getting one with my sis next time I see her.
My mom isn't too pleased with the way I look, but I look a quite a bit like her.

I don't have a sister, so that option is out. (Hee-hee, my brothers can't say that any more, and that thought makes me happy. :D )
I have noticed more than a few times a resemblance in the mirror to my mother. The eyes, I think. Yes, I do look like her.
I look similar to my younger sister and we get our looks from our dad's side of the family, except for my hair, I got my mom's hair... and her allergies too, ugh! I've been going through a lot of old photos with my older sister lately and she looks a lot like my mom did before her teens, but now they look absolutely nothing alike.
You tell me. :)

Even before transitioning I always looked like my mom. A family friend said that me and one of my sisters look like my mom. I have 4 sisters and a brother.
Sometimes I catch a glimpse in the mirror and I look like one sister. Then I pull my hair back and I think I look like another. It's all relative.

I vote sisters, at first glance I thought the one on the right was you, but not you.
So that's my opinion. Cut your bangs and it's even closer!
That's my older sister, and my younger sister is on the left.
I have a lot of sisters, but I look a lot like the one that is closer in age to me. I have a photo even before HRT where I swear I could pass for her (somewhat - far away). People have told me all my life that I have a lot of the same features as my mom.
I vote sister.

I look like my sister only a foot taller, and 100 lbs heavier. Nobody ever called her bigfoot.I used to be so jealous of her she was so pretty and got so much attention. From everyone. I loved wearing her costumes, leotards, fishnets whatever.

My sister was 3 years older. She would dress me in her clothes when I was young, 4-5 or so. It's one of my earliest memories. It didn't bother me then....it doesn't bother me now.
I'm the eldest of four siblings, two of which, or rather 3 now, are girls and my sisters look like me :)
I saw parts of my mom in my old Avatar picture which really blew me away. She had blue eyes as does my oldest youngest sister.
I look just like my sister.
I showed my therapist a picture of my sister and she even said it could be a picture of me.

And yes, you look like them to the point it proves you weren't adopted!
I look a lot like my mother. Same color hair and small frame. My brother looks more like my dad.

Yes you do!!!!!!
I don't have any full blood sisters but there is some resemblance to my half sisters based on our fathers features. But all in all I look more like my mother.
I always wanted to look like my sister. She is a classic beauty, and got all the attention from boys, still does. However, I do look a bit like my mom, who is more of a 50's beach movie girl. Ill take that:) now, emotionally who do you more resemble? For me hands down my mom. She was always the calm one with natural empathy.

I do look like my sister, but emotionally I'm my mother all the way. Very calm and full of empathy. She was a director of a preschool, then a kindergarten teacher. Gotta have a calling for that. In my profession, I was the one who was the teacher, so it fits.
Okay, now this is in the correct forum. Sorry gals!
Jessica
I look like a younger version of my dad. Each of my sister's looks like her mother.
I voted mother, I can't be sure of that though. I didn't know my mom very well when she was young, so I don't actually remember what she looked like then. I think that I look like my sister, but everyone says I look exactly like my mom, my aunt calls me her name all of the time. Who knows, I don't look anything like my brothers though. Don't know about my dad at all, even before I transitioned people said that I looked like my mom.
Emotionally or whatever, definitely my mom. She was just as mental as me from everything I know about her.
I dont have a full sister (half sister), so I chose mother.
I inherited all my looks from my mothers side of the family, we share the same body shape. All the women on my mother side of the have typical hour glass figures (Wide hips and a bigger butt) also got their larger bust size,(I only got a D cups, where they are all DD and larger, expect my mother who also has D cups.)
Seeing photos of my mother at my age, we look like sisters
If DNA is any indication, I'm in for a ride with my twins because my younger sister and I look a lot alike in many ways, more so as I travel down this path. What a ride :)
I have traits that both my mom and sister have I have freckles like my mom I have my moms cheek bone structure but I also look like my sister we that is the body type too
I was mistaken for my mum by her neighbour just the other day.
Peace and love and all that good stuff,
Sadie
I have no sisters.
There certainly is some resemblance to my mother (and less resemblance to my father).
Pamela
I look more like my sister and we both take after our dad.
A more accurate response for me is that I fall somewhere between my sisters in appearance. I have a lot of traits from my mother too including shipping tone. She is where I get my lovely ability to wear red hair and look natural with it.
As confirmed by my Nanna, I look almost exactly like my mother did at my age, right down to the hair length!
I'm an only child, so no siblings to compare with.
I don't have a sister, and I don't look like my mom at all.

Well, I have very, VERY few pictures of myself. And none whatsoever recent. None of you want to see what I look like, lol. Seriously. It's the stuff of nightmares. I could post a picture, theoretically. But you really don't want to see that. Trust me. Not sure I have any pictures of my mum, either. Not more recent than when she was a thirty-something, anyway. She passed away about a decade ago.

Incidentally, I was comparing some pictures of my mom to how I look today on HRT and everything, but... There's very little comparison. Even my boyfriend said that we don't look anything alike.

I know I'd like to put a face to the name after knowing you all these years, having our ups and downs, working together. It makes me happy to see my family here, you're all beautiful to me. That has nothing to do with physical appearance, either. I see and feel the power in transgender people. The power comes from doing this for yourself, not for others or their expected standards of beauty. I love your avatars, they're beautiful. But they don't let me see the beauty and strength of the person behind the name.
You've made such a difference in so many people's lives. Won't you please join us as yourself, not a pretty avatar of a nameless girl? :)
Hugs, Devlyn

Thanks. I was hoping to reconnect with at least SOME of my blood relatives (step family is all I have, other than my dad who I'm not a fan of). I have an aunt and another sister I might try to contact.
I looked like my mom before hrt, but like my dad as well if you only saw me with him. Since starting hrt I look like I'm my mom's sister not daughter just with red hair. There's no dad left in my face at all anymore lol. My sister told me that I sound just like my mom when I talk now, too. I guess it's subconcious mimicking of a familiar female voice? I dunno.

I'm sorry as well. It is heartbreaking. I reached out to my (allegedly liberal) cousin on facebook explaining my transition and she blocked me instead of responding.
I don't have any biological sisters. I've always favored my mom's looks and my brother always favored our dad's looks.

Thank you. In three weeks my wife and I are flying to Florida to visit my mom. I haven't been down there since that picture of us together. She was up here last summer for my cousin's wedding, but she left early as she wasn't feeling well and wanted to get back home to Florida. My stepfather has Parkinson's and he was also having a flare up and wanted to get home. Then she had a hip replacement surgery 2 weeks after my GCS in November so we haven't been able to get together in a while.
I don't really look like my mom or my sister but when I use FaceApp it makes me look like my sisters twin. It's freaky how we look so much alike with the app.
I was adopted but it's incredible how much I look like my family. When I'm dressed as a guy I look just like my dad but when I'm in makeup I look very similar to my eldest sister.
No more than I used to. My mothers family see my father in me. My fathers family see my mother in me. That hasn't changed.
I take more after my dad than any other member of my family, but of the two definitely my mother. I have her facial structure with my dad's eyes, hair and skin tone.
I don't have a sister. And no I don't look like my mother. I don't really look like anyone in my family. Lol. I'm an alien child I guess.

Definitely NOT like my mom. She was very dark - olive skin and brown eyes and black hair. I am a dark blonde. Actually very blond when I was a kid. I look like two of my aunts and one cousin on my father's side. When we were growing up the resemblance between her and me was very close. Poor kid...
Not a poor kid :)

Don't know, couldn't care less really - Most folks still mistake me for my dead cousin

My brother is 2 years older than me. We never looked alike. People would actually comment on that fact. I'm glad we don't actually. Tyler is a handsome guy but he's not pretty and looks very masculine. If I had looked like him I don't think I would pass as easily as I do.
My mom. I look nothing like my sister, though surprisingly my mom told me a couple a few weeks ago that I look a lot like Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Trump's press secretary). I thought mom was full of it, until I took a look online (I had never seen a photo of her before - I'm not much of a political junkie). OMG!!!! I look like I could be her sister! :o

Good Luck. I know what it feels like to be estranged from family. It's no fun. I've been estranged from my sister since 1999 (I saw her at Dad's funeral 2 1/2 years ago, and she ignored me the entire time - though her daughter and I keep in touch with each other). My brother has minimal contact with me (conversations with him are like talking to a stranger at a party - some of that is his personality [he has a tendency to come off as acting in a very formal manner]). Luckily, I reconciled with my parents a short time before my SRS, after 3 years of estrangement. We became (once again) very close to each other. I very much cherish the relationship with my parents (though sadly, my dad died of cancer in Aug. 2015 [I helped take care of him a few days before he died - dad had only been in hospice care for a few days, when he died]).
I hope you're able to reconnect with family members.

The bank that I go to takes a picture of your license to identify you so it pops up when they open your account. Twice already, when I have went to put money in my moms account, different tellers have told me that I look so much like my mom :) I'm just a darker version lol I wish I had a sister, but I don't. I also look a lot like my cis-female cousin. So much so that I'm sure if I was born a cis girl we probably could've passed for twins.

It's not uncommon for some cousins, even nieces and/or nephews to resemble someone - more often than not. I have a friend who's daughter was the spitting image of her and her daughter's daughter a spitting image and the friend was a spitting image of her mom. I just call them clones, lol.
I without a doubt look like my mother when she was younger. My now deceased grandfather who had dementia often thought I was my mother and would engage me in conversation meant for my mother.
I look a lot like my mother and sister. Even when I was cis, I was proud of that.

When I was younger people said I looked like my dad. I always hated that. Now I look ALOT like my mom aside from my chin and nose size anyway. lol
