I look more like my sister and we both take after our dad.

A more accurate response for me is that I fall somewhere between my sisters in appearance.  I have a lot of traits from my mother too including shipping tone.  She is where I get my lovely ability to wear red hair and look natural with it.

As confirmed by my Nanna, I look almost exactly like my mother did at my age, right down to the hair length!

I'm an only child, so no siblings to compare with.

I don't have a sister, and I don't look like my mom at all.

Just pretend if you had a sister that she looked like you!

Just kidding - set your own good looks!!!!!

@Sephirah are you able to get a side by side pic with her?
I've thought about getting one with my sis next time I see her.

Well, I have very, VERY few pictures of myself. And none whatsoever recent. None of you want to see what I look like, lol. Seriously. It's the stuff of nightmares. I could post a picture, theoretically. But you really don't want to see that. Trust me. Not sure I have any pictures of my mum, either. Not more recent than when she was a thirty-something, anyway. She passed away about a decade ago.

I do wish I had a sister, haha.

Incidentally, I was comparing some pictures of my mom to how I look today on HRT and everything, but... There's very little comparison. Even my boyfriend said that we don't look anything alike.

I understand and off the hook from lacking mums pic.
I haven't gotten a imgur account yet, maybe purposefully, so all I can do is share one pic at a time.  My real life avatar not only looks like my sister, but even more so like my niece

I know I'd like to put a face to the name after knowing you all these years, having our ups and downs, working together. It makes me happy to see my family here, you're all beautiful to me. That has nothing to do with physical appearance, either. I see and feel the power in transgender people. The power comes from doing this for yourself, not for others or their expected standards of beauty. I love your avatars, they're beautiful. But they don't let me see the beauty and strength of the person behind the name.

You've made such a difference in so many people's lives. Won't you please join us as yourself, not a pretty avatar of a nameless girl?  :)

Hugs, Devlyn

I remember my sister and I looking a lot alike, even into teenage years. Of course, she became pretty & I became... well, not so much. No idea now. I tried to contact her, but that was over a month ago & haven't heard back yet.

I'm sorry your sister has not contacted you.  That can be heart breaking.  Hopefully she will in the future.

Thank you, Devlyn. That means probably more than you know. Maybe. I'm not going to promise anything but... maybe. Soon.

Thanks. I was hoping to reconnect with at least SOME of my blood relatives (step family is all I have, other than my dad who I'm not a fan of). I have an aunt and another sister I might try to contact.

I looked like my mom before hrt, but like my dad as well if you only saw me with him.  Since starting hrt I look like I'm my mom's sister not daughter just with red hair.  There's no dad left in my face at all anymore lol.  My sister told me that I sound just like my mom when I talk now, too.  I guess it's subconcious mimicking of a familiar female voice?  I dunno.

I'm sorry as well.  It is heartbreaking. I reached out to my (allegedly liberal) cousin on facebook explaining my transition and she blocked me instead of responding.

I don't have any biological sisters. I've always favored my mom's looks and my brother always favored our dad's looks.

Thank you. In three weeks my wife and I are flying to Florida to visit my mom. I haven't been down there since that picture of us together. She was up here last summer for my cousin's wedding, but she left early as she wasn't feeling well and wanted to get back home to Florida. My stepfather has Parkinson's and he was also having a flare up and wanted to get home. Then she had a hip replacement surgery 2 weeks after my GCS in November so we haven't been able to get together in a while.

I don't really look like my mom or my sister but when I use FaceApp it makes me look like my sisters twin. It's freaky how we look so much alike with the app.
