@Shennae Dear Shennae:
Your transition journey and HRT is kinda like a roller coaster ride...... there are fun and happy moments and then there are fast and scary moments... all of this means that your HRT is working. Patience is required... the ride will not be over until it is over.... and as you get farther along in the journey the ups and downs should even out somewhat and there should be less drastic emotional upheaval.
In the mean time, while you are having a rough day try to find some activity that will take your mind off of the issues that are going through your thoughts right now.... shopping and chocolate are two things that comes to my mind!!!
Also just writing about it and sharing your thoughts on the forums ... or writing in your personal pen and paper journal.... those things will help you to process your feelings.
Wishing you well.... and remember, with transitioning and HRT your patience is required.
Hugs,
Danielle
Danielle is so correct! My rollercoaster ride had steep, fairly rapid, ups and downs. It seemed to coincide with dosage increases (which stands to reason) and have become more of a gentle swoop.
It is scary!
The emotions are released, your mind expands to reality.....lots of changes can happen.
Take Danielle's advice, take a deep breath and do something to take your mind off it.
My favs are Danielle's favs too.... shopping and chocolate!!!

Hi Shennae!
When you can't do anything else, do your homework. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and you have to take a lot of steps to get there.
One of the fun ones is..shopping! And no, in the early days of transition you don't have to get dressed up and go to the mall. Even before that, before you ever go out in public dressed, you need to work out your own sense of style and do a lot of planning.
What's your favorite color (now that you have the freedom to wear any color you want no matter how feminine? Summer look— dresses or tank top and denim short shorts? Fall look — sweaters over skinny jeans or leggings? Winter—favorite dress ideas for Christmas and New Years?
Hair— how about some online wig shopping? Makeup? Plan a trip to an Ulta or Sephora and let the girls match foundation to your skin tone?
Even if you are still stuck in the closet for a while, you still need to do your homework because believe me, once you are really out, there will never be enough time to develop the right looks.
Have fun!!!
Hugs, Carly

Here is a really good book on buying clothes. It actually has a section on clothes for tall gals who are bigger on top.
As well as sections for other body types, including me!
