Hi All! I thought I would share a game we all used to play back in the day. You've probably heard of this one before.
The object of the game is to post a line in a scene of a movie and the rest of use have to guess the movie. I'm not sure how this will work but what if the person that guesses the movie gets to pick the next line? Sound like fun? Ok, I'll go first.
FP = First person
SP = Second person
FP: Pest!??? Pest!???
SP: Ya, you have a hell of an infestation.
FP: I've noticed an infestation around here. Barely conscious, unevolved pond scum, scurrying about their insignificant, pointless lives.
SP: Don't you want to get rid of them?
FP: In the worst way.
Ok, guess the movie
Men In Black
..and don't call me Shirley (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,111120.0.html)
Airplane.
Oh dear? Should I have called this "Guess The Movie Line 2.0"?
Up next: "Move on over good buddy! Lets introduce them to the boy!"
Having a hard time with this one are we? Ok. How about a hint. It was Jerry Reed's line.
I love these kind of games.
The Jerry Reed clue. It has to be Smokey and the Bandit (Burt Reynolds fresh on the mind). Which one it was I don't know. My grandfather loved the 3 of them and showed them to me countless times. Great memories.
My Turn (I hope).

Good try Donica! Alway's loved Jack's more feminine mannerism but not quite! In the interest of keeping this thread
ALIVE am surprised no one recognizes . . .
Virginia Wolf's "Orlando" (http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/movies/2010/07/orlando_does_not_fade.html), a classic magical transition story!
"Gentlemen, I find it strange," she says, her face flushed. "You are poets, each one of you, and speak of your muse in the feminine. And yet you appear to feel neither tenderness nor respect towards your wives or towards females in general."
Just a guess. The Stepford Wives? IDK, another tough on.
Orlando ! (https://dvd.netflix.com/Movie/Orlando/831545) Having suffered "
a strange melancholy" for over a half-century myself am still hoping "surgical intervention" won't be neccessary!

I didn't see that movie. Perhaps something easer like: "Right turn Clyde" or "Dude! That was my head!". I think it would help to keep the thread moving with lines from key moments it the movies. In this game, you want people the guess the movie instead of trying to stump everyone. Lines more like "Open the pod bay doors Hal".

I love old westerns. I should have guessed this one right off. I didn't see the movie from 1973. I remember the newer movie from the 1990's. Your quote was not in the newer movie but there was a similar mention of old Bob that went:
"Hi Bob!,,,,,, By Bob!"
All three of them are great movies. I'll leave this as an additional clue and let someone else guess the movie ;D.
Of course, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. It was in theaters only for a short time in '73 when, after disappearing for years, two DVD versions came out in 1990. Unsure why but just minor changes were made to beginning and end.
I was in High School Florida at the time and turns out my father casually knew Kris Kristofferson's father Lars Henry both were pilots for Pan American in the 50's.
(post edit: and the guy in the Victoria Secret Commercial is none other than Bob Dylan 8) )
The movie I was referring to was Young Guns. Well, Young Guns ll. Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips and Casey siemaszko among other great actors. Actually Charlie Sheen was not in the second movie.

I don't know if I'd say it's sad. A terminally ill man helps a family, gets over his predujice traits and even saves a kid from a gang in the only way he knew how. The best part was Doc using the tea cup to twirl instead of the gun mocking the other guy. Awesomely performed.
Yes that was funny Natalie. He was mocking Johnny Ringo. Another good scene by Doc was after the gun fight at the river. The scene went "Where is he?" Doc: "Over there walking water." And of course the famous scene "I'll be your Huckleberry!".

Another tough one clue:
movie is in French (with English subs)
"-also, I never said I fancy boys.
oh? ok, that's new.
-yes
so you're into girls?
-I don't know . . . Maybe"
Ugh! I hate subs!!! Sounds familiar Chloe. I need to give this one some thought.

It does sound familiar! I feel like I can see the person, just can't place it.

Sorry! Won't hang ya's up again -
It's on Netflix, "Girl" starting around 22:00! I really LIKED this movie, to me the issues portrayed were very accurate and relevant!

@Donica @Lacy @TechGirl Oh dear, this thread has died and feel partly responsible!
Quote is from Belgian trans movie "Girl"! (talking to father in car)
Ok! I've got another one! Season 4 is here and it's Romantic, of course!
Quote from: episode 2". . . what is the difference? (why is it you sometimes get hurt and other times not?)
You are, detective. I don't fully understand why . . .
But I'm only vulnerable when I'm close to you."

Hi Chloe! I think the problem may be that not everyone follows series on Netflix and Hulu and the like but most people may remember watching most movies?

I'm sorry, I don't even know if your last movie quote was a movie or a series?

You don't watch "Lucifer"? Chloe and "the devil"? Season 4 is about after she finally realizes IT'S TRUE, she sees his real "devilface" and her & daughter disappear for a while, needing to "process all"! (daughter's "babysitter" is a demon, one of Lucifer's favorites)
lol Actually had the audacity to bring this show up in my local church group one day contending that "the devil" is not a bad/evil person at all; he's just doing the job of "tempting human desires" that God assigned, gave to him to do. I mean how do we exercise "free will" if we're not faced with terrible, soul-destroying choices?
SHOCK! lol The reception was not well . . . as a "trans Christian" isn't it our job to not run and hate but, rather, to educate and challenge "them" on their own "belief system", at their own game?
I think it's sooo cool that "religion" is not only alive and well;
but it's taken a more popular twist! Well, needless to say Chloe is skeptical of his love until quote above: in his human condition he is truly risking his thousands of years existence to just be around, with her!

Yes I'm sorry Chloe. I don't have a subscription for that kind of thing? Please don't get me wrong but you seem to rock this type of thing very well.

Actually I should say yes I have seen one or two episodes of each of these different types of different series. In fact one of my favorites is "into the Badlands". But still I have to admit I don't follow those as much as I would like to.
