I'm curious... have any of you gals had dreams where you were CDing or the like?
I know I definitely have had some... normally at stores or malls trying on skirts and dresses secretly, always doing stuff I would never, ever do in Real Life... :P
Its funny, but I never have been a woman in my dreams. Always always a man, much to my chagrin. ;)
They say dreams are expressions of your subconscious self, which makes sense why I have those dreams. In fact its kind of comforting, you know, to know for certain the desire comes down from deeper than your conscious self.
Are such dreams pretty common?

"or the like" sounds pretty good :)
Yes I have such dreams, not as cross dressing but as Rana, female, a notional me as a female. It is very strange. One of them clear as day - I was dancing, with some sleazy latin type, he, we could dance very well. Was not sexual as such but the sheer joy of dancing.
I had a half waking dream where there I saw myself as Rana standing observing me - I was able to take the time to study this other me, as she was studying myself. I can recall how she was dressed, hairstyle, features (mine but finer, straighter nose) actually this Rana was really good looking. She was probably a bit disappointed with what she observed :( - this could have even been a crossover from an alternative universe where things were reversed a bit :)
In truth it was a very strange experience.
I had this dream once, actually more than once...
I wasn´t feeling like I was different, not at all, it was normal I was wearing high heels and a dress and a pony tail like a high school girl...and being wolf-whistled at ;)
I was myself in the dream - the normal me - but everybody else was looking at me like they weren´t expecting anything different than what they were seeing...just a girl.
Then I woke up and I felt like " No, this can´t be happening ! " :o
Do I have dreams of CDing. Yes all the time.
My latest one is going to a health spar type resourt and being treated like any other female. My imagination is great at the moment so I enjoy all kinds of dreams.

Hey Vanessa,
I too have CD dreams; usually whenever I've been dressing, or shopping, or thinking about dressing. or shopping . . . you get the picture. VERY often. What I've understood about dreams is that they're the brain's way of organizing our daily thought and actions for storage--kind of like rearranging our wardrobes. Mine are also usually about me as a male doing things that I haven't yet done or in places I haven't done them. I think the most interesting part is that they always used to end in some type of embaressing discovery, but lately they have been more matter-of-fact. I'm guessing that's a good thing :). Maybe someday I'll be appropriately costumed in ALL my dreams, because I'll be dressed that more often in real life!
My CD dreams are so vivid that I wake up feeling for the garmets I was dreaming of wearing, which is awkward since my wife is sleeping right next to me.
The dreams are very detailed, like me, I have extreme feelings of touch, smell, taste and awearness. I am also completely a women, smooth and internal. The fire is on the inside not on the outside. It is truly a wonderful experiance and dream. A nice treat the mind provides me, kind of like mental ice cream.
I'm male in my dreams. The only exception is when my dreams are flashbacks of certain real life events - then I appear as I looked when the real incident took place.

A year or so ago, I had a series of dreams, nearly every night for weeks, where I'd dream that I'd "wake up" in this woman's head. That is, I'd fall asleep, and have a dream where I'd open "my" eyes and realize that I'm still dreaming, but I'm not me... I'm now sharing the mind of some woman I don't know.
She normally didn't know I was there, but oftentimes she did; and kinda shrugged it off with a, "oh well, what ELSE could happen to me?" attitude. She was apparently going through a rough time. I guess suddenly hearing voices in her head wasn't helping things much either.
She introduced me (us?) to her husband (they split up at one point when I wasn't around), gave me a tour of her work (she just received a promotion and now travelled around to various school districts as a special kids education specialist - which is partly why they broke up - the voices didn't help either), and once showed me her/our picture in her yearbook ("not exactly a hottie, was I?" she commented).
Middle-aged blonde (bleach) woman, average-looking, reading glasses, tended to wear business attire, painful heels, sweaty stockings, etc. I think she smoked (though not when I was visiting), which was really icky for me (you could taste it, and she looked... weathered). Very tired all the time from travelling and running around. The new promotion was proving more trouble than it was worth.
It certainly put an end to any fantasies that being female is all about being sexy and frilly and giggly, lol. Not that I ever entertained such ideas anyway, but... still.
Another one of those tidbits I tend to not mention to my therapist :)
Oh, and yes... I have dreams of being crossdressed as a male, as well as dreams of being an ordinary female, and sometimes a hybrid of the two. Most are oriented around the "what will people think?" theme, which seems to be something I need to work through.
Did you have to crawl through a trapdoor on the 7 1/2 floor? ;)
Seriously, that's pretty cool. I bet it was real too.

I have been daydreaming all of today about passing as a female. The usual dream is I am entered in a contest to see which male is the most feminine. Of course being a dream I pass and win the contest. Today I have been thinking about my nice white skirt and how good it is wearing it. Maybe I just what other to accept my feninine side.

Colour (sunsets, sky, clothing colours, hair colour...), though most of my dreams are either at night or twilight. Muted lighting usually.
Sounds (dogs barking, people/me singing, police sirens, car engines...)
Smells (that scent after it rains in summer, car exhaust, jasmine...)
Touch (running barefoot through dewy grass, scraping my hand on brick wall, being bitten by a creature, a kiss...)
Taste (indian food once. interesting. never had it in real life, I should compare, lol. Wine, kissing...)
My dreams are genderless. Always have been. Also my mother in law says the same thing about hers.

Sensual person aren't we?! ;D
Very beautiful thoughts.......
My dreams are 95% nightmares they've become the norm since the head trauma but they beat the heck out of the alternative "Migraines"

Wow Kate... that's some vivid dreaming! I imagine it was an amazing experience. My dreams are pretty dull in general, unfortunately.
I remember only very few dreams after I wake up, and out of those only a handful have ever been TG related. The clearest one I can recall was when I was around 12-ish. I think I had watched a James Bond movie or something the night before... Anyway let's just say it involved a "highly advanced" set of gender changing scarlet red, silk lingerie and a mission to seduce a foreign agent to learn his, um, secrets. Though interestingly enough, I don't remember if I had sex in the dream. Only vague scenes leading up to it, and then lying in bed (maybe afterwards?). It also has the merit of being one of the earliest and only sex-related dreams I've ever had that I can remember. I wonder what one of those dream analysts would say =P. In general, my dreams are just in guy-form (I think. I usually don't pay attention to myself in most of my dreams) dealing with the usual mundane sort of problem like exams, the CIA, roommates, aliens, evil game shows, and twisted movies.

I've been having a lot of dreams lately, especially when I'm deep in a sleep, and I always see myself as a woman, never as a man. I can always see myslef and I'm always a woman. Perthaps my subconsciousness is trying to conjoin with my consciousnesss. ???

I wasn't sure about mine until last night. Definitely in color.

I have had several dreams. One particular dream, my mother was helping me try on bras for the right fight when i was going through development. She was very kind and helpful and treated me like a good daughter would be treated. She helped me pick out a nice set of teen type clothes since in the dream, i was that age also, though transitioning from male to female.
I dont remember most dreams I have. Only a few a year for some reason, and so when i do dream its very unique.

LOL... thanks, Chynna (you should know!). Hence the dysphoria. I feel like I'm trying to touch the world through a NASA space suit.

As long as you don't stop trying!
And if it helps you've touched me once or twice so your efforts are not in vain.

I dream in color and have all my senses. I remember them most often and even get deja vue so often it's scary. I am an 'awake' dreamer manipulating my dream to what I want them to be. Controlling them, it's easy, just tell yourself your dreaming and you're incharge and also to remember them. You'll wake-up and remember them more and more.
I usually dream of water, spiders and webs, sharks, and female friends.
I've been able to control dreams, but I find that when I can, I usually don't get as deep of sleep. Some nights I dream and some I don't. Mine last night was weird and not reallt gender issue related. I don't really remember it that well except tiny bits and pieces.
Melissa
In most of my dreams I'm just "me", not specifically one gender or the other.
One time, I dreamed that I was a woman driving an old gray car down the highway in a city. There was a point along the road where things lined up and you could see another city hundreds of miles away. Another time, I had a dream similar to Kate's in that I was seeing through someone else's eyes: a woman, with a husband and two kids. He was getting the kids out of a minivan to go into a restaurant and she was inside getting a table. Mundane stuff but it was so vivid. There were colors and sounds. I remember what she was wearing.
Well here is a CD dream I had only last night (its got to be CD for there was no other way to classify it)
I dreamt that we were all together at a place - and I met you all, and you looked like your avatars (yes I know some of you thats exactly the case being pics of you :) )
It was a truly pleasent dream, you were all wonderful people.
Love

What did Nero look like? :D

I have had dreams on occassion, where I am wearing either a dress, skirt or even lingerie. One time, Iwas able to fly (not in a plane) while wearing a nice skirt and that was great. However, because my wife hates CDing (especially me) many of my dreams of Cding are about trying to hide my clothes so she wont find out. (bummer). Oh! she knows I CD, has for over 10 yrs, but still cant accept it. So, now, all I do is underdress so she wont see it, all except bra (to easy to be spotted). But, once in awhile, I will have a dream where I can be me with out hiding.
Had this exceptionally weird dream two years ago.
I was myself (man) with different, more upper class parents who owned a wealthy island retreat and shares of famous companies. The dream involved being a few years in the future where at a party my father announced that I will inherit all the items, shares and wealth he had. But a enemy company zapped me with a gender-switch device when I walked back to my room, then my sister came and found me turning into a woman, lending me clothes. We then walked through a bar where a bunch of guys startedhitting on me 0-0.
I forget what happened after that :(
Most of my dreams play out like i am watching a movie.I forget most of it after waking.I had two very vivid dreams that i remembered upon waking. One, i was talking to someone and i was wearing a really pretty black and white dress. The other was in a backyard on a bench,i could see my reflection in the window,i was a woman,she/I looked beautiful.A man was staring at me from the second floor of the house next door. When i saw him i woke up.
