do you guys celebrate your 1year or every year being on hormones?

I didn't celebrate starting t and my one year is coming up. I suppose i kind of want to celebrate but I have no idea what to do and most of my mates are CIS straight guys and we just don't really talk at all about my gender stuff.

do some people just do something to celebrate alone?

I didn't really celebrate in a big way. I made a blog post about it and probably took myself out to lunch. I made a slightly bigger deal of my living full time 1 year mark, but it still wasn't that big of a deal. Maybe if my family was still around me in a more present way, it would have been different.

I didn't celebrate it--I just observed it. No party, just a kind of noticing. I mentioned it to my therapist and a few trans friends. The next year, I mentioned the anniversary to my therapist. The year after that, I just noticed the date and smiled.

I know a guy or two who have had parties/gatherings.

I'm going on my three and a half year mark.  I never did anything to mark it.  You would think I would, since it's such a tremendous milestone.  I definitely look fondly back on where I've been.  At this point, my past life seems like a distant memory, and almost like I am remembering someone else.

Even though I have a ticker to that effect, I really don't celebrate.  I went on HRT as a birthday present to myself plus there was and still is a question of me having prostate cancer.  HRT is a treatment for GID as well as for prostate and testicular cancers.  Me being still alive is celebration enough.

Knowing me, come year 1.  I am going to find some expensive restaurant and pig out.  Then I am going to get depressed for eating too much.

Then I am going to giggle as that is exactly how it should be xD

Mine is a week from now, and I'm probably going to have pancakes :). Oh, there might be a clothing purchase of some kind too...

Yesterday, my ex-wife took me to coffee to celebrate my one year tranniversary of living full time. It was cool, but a little awkward for me, too, as today would have been our 24th anniversary. I don't know if she felt odd about it.

I plan to celebrate it --- I have call it my birth date -- my birthday is the day I was born and birth date is the day I began living my true self.  I will likely celebrate it the same as I do for my birthday - nice dinner out with the family.

I'm really boring when I consider that on my birthday (9/18) I gave myself a day off from working out and cooking I doubt I will do anything super special. Maybe I will buy myself some new cookware though. I could certainly do with a hot pot...
