Hey guys it seems that most of you guys are at least in the average height range and I was wondering are there any short guys that pass really well, for example I'm 5 foot exactly,

I'm a shorter than my mother who's 5'2/5'3, I can't really remember.  I think when people do see me I pass for a young guy, but there have been occasions where I've been in a situation where I'm clearly not 14 years old, such as taking my bike for a service, and they asked me whether my mother had made the phone call to book the appointment because it was a female voice on the phone (actually me) and me in real life.

I've seen some pretty short guys around college as well, I don't know how short but from a distance I just thought, "Christ that guy's short.  At least it makes me seem not as bad." and no one was questioning his gender. So I don't think height is a total barrier to ever being able to pass.

5'1" here. I'm also more or less scrawny. I supposed if/when I take T that part might change a bit.

Danny Devito is exactly 5'0", too. Not seeing the issue, personally.

Height really doesn't matter. Its nice, but not a requirement. And honestly, passing is strictly a matter of charisma and overall attitude. It comes from within, not from without. All of the external things are simply aiding it along not the sole source of perception to others. I was passing before the (wrong) puberty, and even during that and after that as well. Some people are simply way too perceptive (particularly kids) and there's no getting around that, but the point is that if you FEEL male (or female), it will shine through the rest and MOST people will see that, and not the physicality.

That said, I'm fortunate to be 5'7" ('on the fence', some would say). BUT, I am still dwarfed by my family (even my mom is 5'10"). Then again, I can still whoop my slightly older, taller and cismale cousin's ass. So... lmao. It truly doesn't matter. In fact, height can be a DISADVANTAGE such as in physical sport or even fighting. They pair up boxers and whatnot based on weight class, and not on height, for a reason.

I'm 5 foot 3, average height of an adult female in the US is 5 foot 4.6. I'm the shortest in my family with the exception of my 10 year old niece who should easily pass me within a year. I regularly don't pass but I don't think it's my height to blame. I go on this site when I get frustrated about my height. It has a bunch of pictures, names, and heights of a lot of short famous guys.

I was just reading about an NBA player who is 5ft3, so really I wouldn't worry about it.  It may work against you sometimes, but it's very possible to alter how you come across by looking in proportion and being confident.

4"11 and 3/4 here. Pre-t and pre-op still and I am stealth at work. They do razz me about my height a bit, even referring to me as "Midget Kyle" cause there's another (taller) Kyle on our crew, but I've heard "he" come out of their mouths from day one of meeting me.

You might be below average height by a lot, but there isn't really anything as "too short".

I'm below average height and went to a New England fair the other day and cannot tell you how many guys I saw that were around the same size as me. My point is that everyone comes in different sizes - shapes too.
I'd also like to add that I have no trouble passing, regardless of the type of space I'm in.

I'm also below average height (5'3"/160 cm) and I'm constantly amazed at how many other guys I see around my height or shorter.  I love it when I notice a guy standing beside me is shorter, makes me stand up even straighter haha

I think it depends on your area and your race how short or tall you are compared for those around you.

one of my teacher was asian, she was considered normal high in my area but she said compared to the girls in her homecountry she was rather tall.

its the same with me.
im 1.76cm (69.3inch/5.7feet it should be??)
and im considered rather small cause almost every guy is so FREAKING TALL compared to me >:(.

I'm 1,63cm (5'3 I guess) and I used to be very worried about my height, but there's nothing I can do about it. Nowadays, I try to accept my height and I feel better when I see pictures of short guys  :D
I know a lot of cis guys of my height also.

That's 5' 9", by my calculations. Pretty tall.

I know a really short trans guy, under five feet, who is one of those "you never would have known" guys.

Mom too. She was about 4'11". My sister is taller though (and not ftm).

I'm 5'7"-8" or so, and have a hard time with my height. Dudes in my area are just crazy tall. :/

I'm around 5'4.5" and my gf is about 5'5" but that doesn't seem to matter to her. And as far as passing with everyone else, well since I can't change that, even if I didn't have to "pass" as my gender, I just make my own short jokes so no one ever has to say anything lol seems to work. But like a lot have said here, there are always gonna be guys shorter than you no matter your height, so size is just another variety that makes us all different.

If you live in North America I don't think it should be a huge problem being "too short." I'm 5'7 and know a lot of cisguys who are quite a ways shorter than I am. Average height around here, afaik, is around 5'8 which isn't that uncommon in North America generally...so I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm 5'7 and the husband is 5'10. I don't really let my height bother me too much. My Dad is 6'1 and my mom is only 5'4 so I figure it was sort of inevitable. I have a lot of friends who are anywhere between 5'4 to 6'5 and all of them seem fine with their height. The shortest guy gets ragged on, but its always playful.

Honestly, I think body type is more the damning factor. If you are a little on the shorter side and have an hour glass figure, you will have a harder time than someone who is shorter without the hips.

I don't think height should really matter that much i am about average at like 5ft 9/5ft 10 (shortest in my family guy or girl) but i have a lot of cis male friends about 5ft 1 -5ft3 so I wouldn't worry as much about it.

I'm 5'3...being short runs in my family. In my city I see tones of shorter guys so don't feel bad! :D
