As the title suggests i'm about to go on a rant, sorry but if I don't get this out of my system i'm going to do something stupid.

A while ago I had someone making threats against me, one of their threats was "if we see you we're going to re-assign your gender, watch out i'm behind you" as a result I temporarily moved into a friends house (safety in numbers), a few weeks after this my landlord sent me a text that said he's moved my property out & had it in his van.

Last week he delivered one van load, my stuff had been thrown into black bags & several pieces of my sci-fi collection are broken. Amongst the black bags was a black bag of rubbish & a container cof recycling!!
I didn't recieve my DVD's, Star Wars collection or my DC/Marvel collection from the early 80's, this is the tip of the iceberg, he has 100's of pound of my stuff

He tried claiming that I owed him money & said he wouldn't release my property until i'd paid him what I apparently owe but wouldn't tell me how much he thinks I owe.
I explained that I wanted to get my property first so I could assess how much damage has been done to my stuff.
His response is that if I don't pay him in 2 weeks then he'll sell my property!!

Needless to say I immediately reported this to the police, he is currently at risk of being charged for performing an illegal eviction & theft.
I'd happily drop any & all charges against him if he'll allow me to get my stuff back.

I know the rant is a bit needless i've done everything I can by passing this to the police & now I have to wait for a day or two & see what they can do.

End of rant

Good job Jayne! How many people would have meekly walked away figuring he was too powerful. You showed him he can't push you around.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

I've spent most of my life in rented accomodation, i've had many great landlords but have experienced many bad ones.
I'm well versed in the law regarding renting & my rights, he's fortunate that i'm a calmer & more mature person nowdays, years ago I would have rounded up a group of friends & we would have retrieved my property in our own way but i'm giving the police a chance to sort this out before I take drastic action to save my property from destruction.
