Online Advice Helps Doctors Treat Transgender People

Doctors anywhere can now seek out professional, online advice to help them provide high-quality medical care to transgender people. The Bay Area's newly launched TransLine appears to be the first of its kind nationwide.

San Francisco's Lyon-Martin Health Services and Transgender Law Center opened the website to respond to doctors new to treating transgender people.

Director and Doctor Dawn Harbatkin says while transgender care can be medically straightforward, it's culturally challenging.
