I feel like such a old woman, maybe its because i've struggled so much - but i feel like i have the mind of a 60 year old X( so even though im actually gonna be 24 soon- I feel worn out, tired and like my life is over   I even feel like giving up my style because i feel like its time to trade in all my nice clothes for old lady gear.  I used to love dyeing my hair funky colors, going shopping and all that stuff but im starting to lose interest

Age is all in the mind. I know some great people whos physical age is well above mine, but they have the spirit of someone my age. 24 is not old, and just because you are mature does not mean anything is "wrong" with you. Just be yourself, and dress the way you want.

I'm sorry, Elsa.  I'm in my mid-50s now, and when I get to be as old as you, I'm sure I'll feel the same way. 

I didn't start dying my hair odd colors (purple, blue, red) until I was 32. I figured it was my second chance to be 16.

I didn't start transition till I was 41.

Twenty-four is not old, to me.

Feel the same way, I'm 18 but feel 10,000 years old.


Or it that I'm 10,000 years old and feel 18? I have the best skin for a 10,000 year old.

If 24 is old, some of the rest of us are in real trouble.  I'm turning 68 next month, but actually I do understand a bit, I remember feeling old because of all the things I had been through as a youth.

It usually gets better, hang in there.

I agree. One of my friend's dad is 45 years old. However, he acts like a 16-year-old boy. We were going to the pool once and he said "C'mon, s***stains, let's go!" Really mature... (Sarcasm)

To answer the original question, I must say this. We don't live in 2,500 BCE, when living to 30 was equivalent to being blessed by the Gods. 24 is pretty far from old. 

24 old? I'm double that, and a handful of change!

Emphasis on the KID. My genetics teacher is 63 years old, and his mom still calls to make sure he gets home safe after visiting her.  (She also calls him her little baby, wrinkly and all.)

A friend of mine from high school (he's 42 now) hides his motorcycle when his parents visit.

Age can largely be something in our minds, not just in our bodies. My ankles remind me every morning when I get up of my age. After about an hour, they're OK. I've got a finicky right knee, too. But part of me still feels like I'm in my 20s or 30s.

50ish, but for the most part feel 30ish

Not many people at all can even guess my real age when asked to...one of these days it might all catch up to me though.

My birth cert says I'm 37, however, I feel more like I'm in my early 20's. Age is a state of mind - since I started my transition my age has moved in a backwards direction.

And yes, I dye my hair funky colours, as my avatar shows..

I'm guessing you might be depressed re: gender issues. When you get that straightened out you'll find out how you really feel.

No it's not old I'm 54 I had burgundy and gold highlights put in my hair which is nearly to my t***  on Tuesday went to a punk rock festival in August sometimes wear leather pants and had a sword fight with kid's toy swords in a store with another 54 year old.Age is a number

I'm going on to 60 next year.

I'm trying very hard to be a mature 20 year old and failing happily.

You may feel old when it gets too much and you start to give in. So the secret is simple. You never give in.
