This is a poem a wrote a while back, using my love for comic book and the general sadness i felt at the time as muses, i hope it's good and you all like it...here goes;

Searching for Superman

I walk alone in a darkened valley, in search of a hero
truth and justice, would be the words he would say
will he ever come to save the day

the monster that is a child, all he asks is to be alone
the avatar looking for peace for sins to atone

a man with a past, with life moving so fast
memories of a wife, his dear life

i walk the dark corner searching for superman,
will he ever come to show me his plan

will the heroes save my life or will i have to full under the slumber of this knife

a flip of the coin, the world turns from good to bad
it is quite sad, but the search goes on.

Will i ever find Superman to save this world, probably not
he doesn't exist they say except for in the melting pot that is
the mind.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

QuoteThank you for sharing that poem. You should keep writing!

I would agree with Maddie. One benefit of writing:
If you want to meet your own Superman, he's much more likely to fall in love with you over a shared love of writing during shared meals in the Daily Planet employee lunch room, than to develop a crush on you while saving you from an overturned bus (he's quite unreachable in rescue mode, IMHE). Not all supermen are from destroyed planets BTW. Just mine.

History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

That was very nice :)

You are in a new city a world away from your former city...former self, Superman could be around any corner as he is elusive, but will show up to rescue a damsel in distress.

And remember, you might have to look for a Clark Kent to find the "super man"

Good luck sweetie  :)

In San Francisco the odds are 50-50 that Superman is a woman.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

It's funny but i've only gone out a few times but i've yet to see a gay guy, i think one girl i saw might be lesbian...she was very butch. ANYWHO, i think everybody has got this a bit misunderstood. It isn't about finding love/"Superman" to love.

It's really just about my lack of faith in the human race and searching for a hero to believe in. So ummm thanks for the comments but sorry i didn't mean the poem as a something about love or whatever, maybe i should re-title it heh.

Did you know you are my hero? You see, our heros sometimes are closer than we think

BTW I liked your poem very much

Nice Donna.  I like it.

And not all Supermen have super powers or wear a cape.  Mine has a bow tie, sonic screwdriver and travels in a Police Box.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

The title had me wondering if it was an homage to Nietzsche. Are you into Neitzsche at all?

I have another poem up but i think that one is terrible, this one was much better.
