Hey everyone,

I have tried to research it online, but I have a hard time finding both transgender and bear topics in the same place! I hear a little bit about trans guys in the bear community, but not much. I always found myself attracted to female identified and often bodied people, but as I've experienced new places and people in my life I've started to see an attraction to queer/trans guys. I've been really excited about Bear culture as of recently, and hope to be one myself one day (only 7 months on testosterone and 20 years in my life so far). I want to try to find out how trans guys are accepted into the Bear community, and anything else related. Also, I heard something about there being a transgender bear flag? If anyone has any resources I would really appreciate it!

I am probably demonstrating how out of touch I am. But what is a bear? Apart from a rather aggressive wild animal?

I know of two in the Bay Area who are very high profile, and they seem to be doing fine, I never hear negative or derogatory things about them, and others I know like them OK.  Of course I often go to Bear/Leather community events, particularly beer busts and lounge about in a pink sundress, and then spank them very badly on the pool tables.  But its' the Bay Area and it's pretty PC, and very open, so YMMV.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
