The T in my body has been low for a few month, since like Aug. what happens if  the T has been low for that long? It makes me nervous that its been that low for awhile now. I'm curious as to what happens if anything does happen...?

It's different for everyone man but lower energy and well it's no longer overcoming ur natural production of hormones (assuming u haven't had a hysto) so chance of menstruation recurring, if u have had a hysto that increases ur chance for osteoporosis and other things.. U could be more emotional, decreased libido, decreased muscle mass, irritable, hot flushes etc... Google is a friend dude..and if ur worried - off to the doc!

I looked on google, can't find anything. Though, I have not experience any of what you said. Although i have no energy to begin with, so that doesn't really tell me anything. My doctor wants to wait 2 months before I get a blood test to check my T levels.

I just saw my dr. a few weeks ago and this is when she told me the andro gel wasn't working and increased my dosage. So I have to wait until late Nov. to get a blood test to check my T levels.

Mate if ur asymptomatic I don't see a problem! Unless ur also not getting any further changes etc..? My only concern with low T (pre-hysto) was not getting the changes I wanted/expected and getting a period. And I'm assuming u know u have to wait for bloods to see any changes - they don't happen over night....

Or is it just that ur mainly concerned that ur levels are on the lower side of normal for a man?? Again though if ur asymptomatic does it really matter?!

I'm getting no changes at all, and my levels are way lower than any male. It's not even close to being in any male range at all.

I have Dr. appointment in the middle of Nov. but I have the appointment with the nurse. I don't know why my doctor wanted me to have an appointment with the nurse instead of her when she knows my dosage is not right yet...?

Cold, tired all the time, libido through the floor, and of course, the bleeding, unless you've had that part fixed.  You won't necessarily be overly emotional - I'm still a bleeder, but I've never gotten the emotional PMS stuff like females stereotypically tend to.  (I've never been on T, and my levels are undetectable, which I believe is even considered low for females, but my family doctor doesn't seem to, even in the presence of my complaining about the first three symptoms.  So YMMV if you're going from actually having had some at some point.)

Dominick_81, are you having any monthly bleeding.  I want that to end ASAP.

Maybe call the office and explain what is happening and see if you can get in to see the doctor. Or, maybe the nurse can tell the doctor what is going on?

Sorry your still a bleeder, that sucks. My period hasn't returned and I hope it doesn't. I feel like I'm reverting back to female with low T since Aug. it's driving me crazy. What is YMMV?

Yeah, I think I will call the doctors office and tell then what's going on.

So...

If your levels were low when you last saw your doctor BUT they increased your dosage, the hope is that your levels should now be fine.

I imagine the appointment is with the nurse simply because it will be for a blood test, nothing more. There's no point having an appointment with the doctor until they know your blood levels after the increase in dose. You will probably have an appointment with the doctor afterwards IF your levels are still not ok. If they are ok, your dose will stay the same and everything should be fine from there onwards.

Unless you have other symptoms or problems, it's really that simple.

YMMV means "your mileage may vary" which is another way of saying it's different for everyone.

I think I'd be getting a second opinion from another trans friendly doctor if you know one. My doc put me straight on a full dose of injectable T because he said in his opinion guys didn't see the changes they wanted fast enough otherwise. I'm so glad he did. I've been going really well. Remember doctors are only one opinion and that you have the right to another opinion to see what they say. trouble is having another trans friendly doc on hand.

Yep, this.

Have things gotten any better for you passing-wise Dominick? I remember that had been an ongoing issue... at any rate, hope your bloodwork issues get resolved soon.

I hope, but I have no idea. I'm even sure how much she increased it. I mean, I know the pump number, but I can't say it on here. But I don't know if it was high enough, she wanted to give me more, but couldn't.

My levels were so low I wonder if that little increase made a difference...?

Yeah, your probably right the me seeing the nurse for the blood test results.

I'm not sure of any other trans friendly endo's in my area, and I don't want to hassle of changing doctors and insurance and all that, ya know?

I was on the injections for the first year and a half and when my insurance finally started covering my T I switched to the androgel. I hated getting the shots, I had so much anxiety awaiting my shots every other week. I'm good with the gels, creams, anything but shots.

I'm like 50/50 with passing. I never really know b/c no one ever uses pronouns with me and if they do it's female most of the time. I think when I went into the store to get a job application the lady said to me either: "hey there young man" or hey there young ma'm"...? I couldn't tell what she said.

Thanks. I called the office today about getting blood work done, their supposed to get back to me tomorrow about whether  or not the doctor wants me to have blood work done.

This is first time ive gone without for so long
i Had top surgery 9 months ago and have got an uncomfortable bulge on my left side. When i lean forward i have a crease which folds the nipple in. Had a scan done they just said it was muscle. Will it go if i work out on weights?

I'm not sure what will happen. I've gone like 2 weeks before without my shot. I didn't feel any different, I just felt anxious/nervous b/c I felt like the the shots kept up my masculinity, and without it I felt like I was slowly reverting back to female.  I know guys on here said it take 4-6 months or something to revert back or slowly revert back...?  I know other guys on here can give you more info then I can.
