After my teacher separated our class into discussion groups the week after I'd come out to her. I was on the dude side and it was awesome. She was young with lots of tattoos, and when I told her about the name change she was super excited for me. I miss her :D

I had a lot of people when I was in the awkward -not even close to passing- stage say things like "You are the strongest person I know". That people would even be friendly to me during that time was amazing. The ratio of kind things said vs ugly was easily 100-1. The 1% negative did hurt but I just had to think about the positive and how much happier I was.

Last week I was complimented on my hairstyle and twice on my nails, irridescent orange shellac.  Felt great.
