No, not yet. Haven't even changed my name.

Then I would discuss it with your adviser.

Yeah but I don't know what to say. Do I walk in and go: "Hey guess what? I'm a chick now!"

I am in the middle of 1st year exams at the age of 59 so it can be done. University would have to be one of the best places to transition, as it is about asking questions and trying new things.  I admit I was full time with my name changed etc, so it was quite easy for me.

In your case probably talking to someone in the enrolment section would be the way to go.  Simply saying that you are in gender transition, and how do you go about enrolling under your female name should do it.   You could also ask about their GLBTIQ policies and support for students from diverse backgrounds, counselling services etc.  This assumes you want to try living part-time while there of course, even if not until part way through your course.

Returning to study is probably the second best thing I have done in the last few years, and I recommend it to anyone who can manage it, even if only part-time.

I agree with this, to speak to those in charge of enrolment/ re-enrolment.
Im currently in my final year of uni. Granted, I was already a year on T when I started, and have always been stealth, I can see uni being a good place to transition. In my opinion though, itd work best if you were transitioning part way through your study, if you were at a large uni, instead of a smaller one where everybody knows everybody. I dont know what your situation is like.
Anyway, I know of a guy who started uni pre T, people knew of his transitioning etc, and he just graduated yesterday! He had an amazing time, and was provided with the right assistance in getting everything sorted etc.
