I'll go first...

So, I finally got to go out as MYSELF!  What an amazing joy it was for me. I had to walk down Hollywood BLVD. in the skimpiest of outfits. I was scared but I have to admit having my spouse with me made a huge difference. Lucky for me she always encourages me to go as myself. I haven't gone full time but I think I'm about too. I recently got my new hair extensions and people seem to love it. It also seems to help me pass as well. I'm tall so I stick out. But I'm also lucky that I am curvy too.  I had men coming up to chat with me to no end and I got so many compliments from women as well. I did think, OMG I'm going to get killed out here. But, I didn't. I had this one guy tell me that he loves tall girls (I'm 6 ft) and  then on another block I had one of the door men at a club in Hollywood walk up to us and ask if we wanted to go in that he could give us VIP passes to get in.. and then handed them to us! LOL  You don't know how amazing it was for me. I've been dying doing a very slow transition because of my daughter being sick and in and out of the hospital. So this was a great change for me.
We then went to a gay club where I ran into a lesbian that HAD to POINT out that I was probably and ->-bleeped-<-! Well, my spouse told me to ignore and said she was probably a jealous chunky girl with no friends. LOL  Some of the DRAG queens came up to me and complimented my "RAVE BUTTERFLY" outfit. And then said you're a pretty girl. I wore a corsett as well that really made my cuves even more curvy.  I'm sorry, I just keep typing..it's just most of you have experience this and I haven't and I've been on cloud 9 since then. It makes me actually see a better future for me.The truth is I really don't think I am there yet, and I don't completely pass yet BUT it was a lot of fun. My spouse looked very very very hot and I had to drag her away a few times because the boys AND girls were salivating around her. LOL  She's a looker that's for sure.

I also got my letter for my ORCHIE so I am amazingly happy now and it's going to be fully covered by my insurance! I couldn't ask for a better week!

I'll try to post pics later.

Would you share YOUR experiences here too?

Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Stephie!

So awesome!!! Glad you had a great time! :)

It was my first time going out for Halloween too! It was amazing probably one of the best experiences so far of my transition. I went out with my friend Jake and met up with a girl he has been dating in old town Scottsdale. When I got there I was a little nervous being around a cis-woman and her girlfriend. So I remained quite for the first 15 minutes or so. Then her and friend came over and started a convo with me. We ended up laughing the whole night, sharing stories and talking about boys. What was great was I didn't have to get drunk because in years past I would drink till I couldn't walk just to get my mind to stop. I only drank one mojito. :)

Here's a couple pics. My tan lines are bunk. Almost finished with laser on my legs.

I was never very Halloween, because I always hated to attract attention. The last time I put on a disguise was, I think, 5 years ago. I did it to support my class because there was a draw for prizes at school for Halloween, and only classes where 100 % people were disguised were eligible. I brought a cape. A few people asked me what I was supposed to be. I said: "Psssh, I have a cape, I'm in disguise. Dark something." Oh how cheerful I can be.

However, that's a great story to read. Maybe when I'm full-time and with my girlfriend I'll try something out. The more that amazing girl talks with me, the more outgoing things I want to do, so. I just, a couple of months ago, decided that I'd like to wear a skirt that's less than knee-length. "Omahgosh!"

Anyway. I have no idea what kind of disguise I'd wear, but I'm looking forward to trying that one day.

PS: Is that guy... smoking inside? Ew. I'm so happy it's prohibited in all public buildings here. x_x

the smoking guy=really cute

*cough* Anyways, I don't usually *do* Halloween,  kids my age don't really dress up that much, or maybe they do at a party, but usually no. Usually I'll buy some candy for kids who knock on the door, but mostly I hang with my lil bro's on Halloween and take them out and then at night we watch som scary (kids) movies.

How do you post pics again? I have them on Picassa (host site). Help.  :(

I didn't put a lot of thought into my costume this year, so I just grabbed a bandana, my tie-dye dress, and my Gumby earrings so I could be a hippie chick.

The thing is, I'm known to dress like this anyway, whether or not it's Halloween.

I just saw on FB that my former boss and his wife dressed up as each other and renewed their wedding vows on Halloween!

Jamiep

@Constance,

That is so funny and yet romantic about the vows. Ironic, if my wife had been able to Halloween costume up (she couldn't go because of a cold), she said seeing as you are going as a girl I  guess I will have to go as a guy. I went to our local fav pub Halloween night by myself.

Your hippie outfit, peace sister.

Cheers

I spent most of the day researching... 19th century European (ostensibly) humanitarian interventions in the Ottoman Empire as well as miscegenation laws in the Jim Crow South and the Scottsboro Boys Trial... and going to class. I would have liked to have gone to the SF Giants World Series Victory Parade. I went in 2010...it was intense!

Anyway, I have a definite shot at getting a 4.0 GPA in my first semester at Cal, the number one public university in the world.  :'( >:-) 8)

I dressed up as Cat Woman (Michele Pfeiffer/Batman Returns era) to pass out treats  :)  Unfortunately I had only one Trick or Treater  :P

Oh well, other folks who saw me said they loved my costume and one lady even said I was beautiful  :)

Yay! My Haloween was sooo different from everyone else! ;D I drove 7 hours round trip to take a 3 hour interview after I got to work early so i could work an 8 hour shift. I HOPE its going to be worth the 18hr non stop day. Its for the same job I have now but in a bigger city (La Verne CA) and for 15/hr more than I make now. It also has a little less for me to oversee. Soo not so much a holiday for me  ::)

It was a lot more intense than the last one.  I'll post on it later.  And besides, it's always Halloween in Berkeley, even if some of the people don't know it.
