I didn't mention my breasts size because I didn't want to rub it in the face of people who've been less lucky than I have. As if I could gloat about something that I never had any control over anyways. It IS possible, and this is coming from someone who didn't expect much in terms of breasts growth, especially considering I wasn't even binary identified so I didn't particularly want breasts like ASAP. So at two months HRT breasts buds started and somewhere between the 4-5 months I got fitted a 36B. Not perfectly round and fully filled up mind you but still needless to say I was flabbergasted. Next thing you know I realized that I had bigger breasts than at least 3 cis women at work. Since then they are still filling up but I didn't notice further growth even though they still hurt. So they just grew really fast but capped early, kinda like fat redistribution on my face it also happened drastically at the 4-5 month range then stabilized and I expected it to take place more around the 7-9 month mark like most vids I had seen on youtube.

Agreed, it's different for everyone just like for cis girls going through puberty. At one month I got breast buds and they are having growth spurts every week it seems. I was told to look at your closest female relative for comparison which is my sister. She developed quicker than other girls and is a natural D.

Fingers crossed  ;D

Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Annah, as I said, both factors count. Make most above-average-breasted women lose a lot of weight, and their breasts will shrink. How much they shrink will depend on the person, but still. It's by no means always true, but most skinny girls are going to be in the A realm, just like alyx, and I doubt, unless they just can't gain weight, they're all doomed to that size. So I don't think it's accurate to declare that having small breasts means you weren't receptive to HRT and thus you won't ever get much of them.

I say, as long as some breast tissue has developed (that is, having something there as compared to no breasts at all), it is possible for fat to deposit there in a female pattern. And just like some women have more fat on the hips or thighs or butt or whatever, I think that there's a different factor that influences how much fat goes in the breasts.

In a mathematical way, we could say that in the equation Size = Ax + B, x being weight, everyone has both a different A and B. Or so I think, at least.

It also depends on how much fat one has on the chest and tummy area.  Small perky breasts look much larger on a slim girl and the same size a bigger heavier girl.

Ok... I have to ask about this breast massage business.

Go to YouTube videos, there's a pretty good one there on the how to's by a young trans woman. As for me when I'm showering I make two fists, knuckles against the breasts and work my way around them with a little pressure, press the nipples into the glands a bit. Get the sides, bottoms and especially the tops all the way to your collar bones. It just promotes a lot of good circulation and feels refreshing. I do it again when the bra comes off at night because the poor (  .  )(  .  )'s have been crushed all day long and tell me "Shan, we need a break!"  :D

I just palm them and and apply a certain pressure( depending on how much they hurt) and make rotations from the inside to the outside.

Everybody is different when it comes to this. I've seen plenty of folks here on Susan's who said they never developed a lot and some who said things kicked in quite late. Here's something I believe, though, that hasn't been mentioned. Let me say first that I'm no expert on this stuff.

It's generally known that pubescent girls who are athletic tend to delay breast development or and usually have rather small breasts. This is clearly observable by looking at an Olympic gymnastics team. If you are very physically active, you might try easing it back some. Apparently a high degree of physical activity can affect hormones in female development.

In another thread here a young transwoman said she actually started HRT in her mid teens, but didn't get much in the breast department until college. Then she was, as she put it, a "Victoria's Secrets model". Anyway, relax give it time and what will be will be. Many women live very happy and feminine lives with very small busts.

I really didn't see anything too significant til my second year. I started taking some micro progesterone and that actually helped my breast development. But yes, I think genetics plays a big part. My mom and sister have big boobs so I am hoping I will have some decent sized ones.

I've been on HRT since 1996 and had not had much development until the last two years when I decided to get regular exercise and eat a healthy balanced diet. Oddly enough as I lost excess weight of sixty five pounds the development took off and is still going strong. I'm 5' 7" and 170 today.

WOW! That is fantastic!! I"m hoping to head in that direction soon. I'm a caregiver to my child and it's been hard to get to the gym but I'm trying. This inspired me.

I think this is less linked to physical activity per se than it is to a low body fat percentage, which is what most athletic people have. I think exercise shouldn't hurt as long as you're not losing all of your fat because of it, in which case the breasts will lose some, of course.

It varies acording to a lot of factors. My endo was amazed at the breast development I had after 5 months(I had been DYI),but I have Klinefleter's syndrome(XXY chromosomes) and my mother had DD's,and after all, I am my mother's daughter!

You're probably right but isn't there a correlation between higher levels of testosterone and physical activity even in women? Just asking I don't really know.

I think genetics plays more into it than anything. My sister is a marathon runner, and a triathlete. She is very slender, but had to have a breast reduction because she had DDs. In fact, all of my sisters have had to have reductions because of health concerns. The biggest one was in the high EEs.

Here's a line from the Wikipedia entry on "Delayed puberty" under "Possible Causes":
"In females, prolonged high level of physical exertion, e.g. from being an athlete"

I've read articles on this before. I'm pretty sure it's more than simple fat loss. There seems to be a connection between high levels of activity and hormonal development.

Absolutely, a lot of those little girls on the gymnastic teams don't have their period or experience further breast development until they quit the team and go back to a normal life. Adult women athletes sometimes push themselves to the point that their body fat goes to around 11%, their periods stop and their boobs all but disappear.

I would guess that being constantly very active would put all of the body's ressources towards the muscles, and would tell the body that there's something more urgent than maturation. Makes sense.

A lot of those girls that participate in the Olympics have inadvertently put their physical maturation on hold and many never get any larger breast size beyond minis. Oh well, we know that boobs aren't what makes the woman anyway!

This, I don't think it's really excercise alone, it's body fat percentage, healthy women usually have around 20% and that's why some girls with ED's drop enough weight that they stop having their periods and such.

A few of my trans friends said that caffeine could have an influence on breast development. Apparently, if you drink caffeine, it can inhibit breast development.
