A poll has revealed 90% of gay men and women voted for President Barack Obama to win the election, which he did last night (6 November).

The Community Marketing & Insights poll surveyed thousands of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender United States voters, across all 50 states, to find out who they will vote for.

In other survey results, 95% of gay people said they would vote in the election, and 41% said they had voted before election day.

The remaining 10% was divided by 6% for Mitt Romney and 4% were for a third party candidate. 41% of gays and lesbians gave money to the Obama campaign.

Look at the bottom line of article:

CMI surveyed 6,625 LGBT people from 2-4 November 2012

That was before the election!

Aside from including the word transgender, no specific data was supplied about who we supported.

The survey lacks credibility too, as it was not from a random sample.  Williams Institute and Gallup conducted a credible poll, and knowing Gallup, used a sound methodology.

The problem, Sarah Louise, is that there exists a percentage of the population who will believe just about anything, including garbage information like the "survey" cited in the article.  It sounds good to them, so they repeat it, and eventually it become engrained in the collective psyche.

It sounds like a good discussion....for private message. Hugs, Devlyn

Sigh, surveys can be made to say "anything", its how you ask the questions, what order you ask them in, who you include and the predetermined result your looking for when you do the survey.

there are people who tell the true, people who lie, and then, there is the statisticians

But, our JamieD is absolutely right, if you repeat a lie enough, people would begin to belief on it. I think it was Hitler who said something like this.

As I drive through some white-folks impoverish lands, I could not help but to notice the overwhelming adds for the GOP... and I ponder, how did they convince these folks to take their side...a trip to Flint Michigan should be so telling about the kind of support they can get from the GOP when their jobs are outsourced overseas....

These are the kind of things that make go, humm..while driving
