I finally managed to get an appointment with an informed consent clinic to see about HRT! Since it's still over a month away (December 11th), I figured I might as well ask about what I can do health wise to make sure I can absolutely get on T, and keep my risks for cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc., etc., low.
As of right now, I'm overweight and in okay shape, and am trying to get into better physical condition (though it's kind of hard to lift with my wrist acting up, so it's mostly cardio via biking and walking, and playing Dance Central for the Kinect right now). I've drastically cut down on my soda intake to a 20 oz. bottle or two every day to three days, down from six or eight or more of them every day (I know, I'm horrible). The last time I had any fast food was Tuesday, and even then it had been a week or two since I had any, where I used to eat enough BK for two or three people, daily. I've been trying to eat healthier and having smaller portions.
In all, I've really been trying to turn myself around regarding my physical health.
Which still leaves me nervous about other problems I have. I was diagnosed with osteopetrosis (meaning my bones are a lot denser than they should be) when I was a teenager, though I haven't really had any problems with it outside of having bad knees, hips, and ankles...though I'm pretty sure my joint pain was a result of being way too heavy for way too long. Plus, Shark Week hasn't rolled around in a couple of months (which is actually normal for me since I've never been regular, and hadn't been formally diagnosed with PCOS or anything like that), but I'm pretty sure that it's due to stress.
TL; DR - I'm nervous about my HRT appointment in a month, and am probably overreacting by stressing out about any little nuance in my health or upcoming blood work results that would keep me from getting on T. Does anyone have any advice?
