I'm not really sure if I want HRT, because I am fairly happy with the way I look for the most part. Even though I have many feminine features, it doesn't seem significant enough of a problem for me to want to change my biological hormones. And I rarely get monthly internal bleeding, so that's not much of a concern either.
If I have a therapist note like I'm supposed to, but haven't had HRT can I still get top surgery in the US? If not, how long do you have to be on T to get top surgery? And if you quit because it's having very bad effects (like making you too emotionally unstable) will they make an exception?

You should be able to get top surgery without ever going on HRT.  I know Dr. Garramone will do your top surgery without it.  Some surgeons even require one to be off T for a couple of weeks before surgery.  I've heard that T can change the shape of your chest before surgery but unless one is really small-chested then that shouldn't be a problem.  I actually plan to have top surgery before I start hormones.

Yes, you can have top surgery without being on T. Requirements vary from surgeon to surgeon, though. My surgeon, Dr. Steinwald, will do it without even a therapist's letter.

This is so ironic. Before I saw this I contacted Dr. Garramone (he's one of my preferred doctors after seeing his work) and he said he would do it. lol But thanks for the answer. =D
