Guys, I just have to share this.
I always have used the medicine spoon-type STP from DJ's. I agree the learning curve is tricky, but this is what I'm used to now.
Just out of curiosity, I ordered one of whatever they call those cup-type ones from the Tool Shed. The bonus was they sent it super fast, ordering was really easy. That is where the good news ends.

Then the thing came. This is the lamest piece I have ever seen. My first complaint is the packer itself: just the worst most unrealistic thing. Completely uninspiring for JO. The tubing can't be shifted, so the tip where the pee comes out looks like a big dumb hole. Then I tried to pee with it! It's the worst. The cup is so mushy, the pee gets stuck in the cup, and you can't control the flow, it just goes wherever it wants (one of the nice things about the DJs one is you really get that nice looking stream you can control--How else am I going to write my name--IN CURSIVE!--in the snow?!) ...and I miss that scraping you can do with the medicine spoon to clean up that last bit of residue. Feels so much tidier.
Just to be fair and give it another chance, I did try it twice...but it really is lame. I guess DJ has me spoiled with his fine products!
So, I have two things to say. First one is, for you beginners out there: I know some are thinking the medicine spoon isn't worth how tricky it is to use, but I say, get to know your anatomy and use it! The results are SO MUCH more satisfying.
Second thing is...I guess if a beginner wants this thing, I can disinfect it and send it to the first guy that sends me his snail mail address (like I gave away a binder that didn't fit). Otherwise, it's going in the trash.
I know not everyone will agree with what I have said, but for those that haven't started to STP, I hope it is food for thought. DJ's take a while to come from when you order, but I think they are worth the wait. (DJknowsdicks.com I think, or something close to that.) They are more realistic, sturdier, and fun!
