Hey everyone.

Just a quick question I'm currently 21 and I'am a month in with my therapy sessions. Assuming i'm able to start my Hrt hopefully in a few months "fingers crosses" will starting before puberty offically ends (25 or so i believe) have any addtional benefits outside the normal effects of Hrt? I.e smaller height prehaps?

With Love xx

The age of 25 is just picked because that's when the bones fuse together and you wont grow any more. It helps in that maybe your hips will widen a little and it'll stunt height growth, but anything you're working with now (prominent brow ridge, defined facial features etc) are irreversible.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

Paige, starting before age 25 still has some advantages even though you're already past peak pubertal growth.

There's evidence to show that the male skull continues to grow and mature up to age 25- depending on the individual, further frontal bossing and forward growth of the lower jaw growth can continue up to age 25.

So even if you do have some male facial skeletal features at age 21, starting earlier may have the advantage of stopping/reducing further growth of those male features.

As an aside, physiologically, in both males and females, peak bone mass is reached somewhere between ages 25-30 - there are some who advocate going as much weight bearing exercise as possible for this age group for this reason.  Reason being - the more bone mass you have to start off with, the more you have to lose before you get to the stage where you may be considered osteoperotic.

Well from what i've read it just helps promote things like More developed breasts, hip bones widen, if facial hair was still growing to stunt that :)

For most, age 21 is where most of the development had already occurred even though that 25 is the general time that most physical maturation ends.  As for myself and my dad, 28 was the time we both stopped growing.  I added an inch in height and my hips did widen so that my old Navy uniform that did fit at age 23 didn't at age 30 because of the unusual widening of the pelvis.  My dad's hips didn't widen.  My mom told me of my dad because she did his alterations.  My dad was a womanizing cad and his son has turned into a woman.
Your hips widening?  Possible.  Your shoulders wide? Too late.  Hormones cannot shrink wide shoulders or pelvis or higher pitch the voice that was already dropped.  But with the genetics with your family you can get some idea.
