Hi, I'm living in Metro-Atlanta and I was wondering if anyone could help me find a therapist or psychiatrist that's in Atlanta.

I really want them to specialize in Transgendered issues or at least not overwhelming resistant to the idea of transsexualism. I heard some cases of people who are stuck dealing with a therapist who won't allow them to take a step further in transitioning simply because they believe its just a phase in their life.

My family isn't that wealthy so I'm looking for one that either accepts Peachcare / Blue Cross Blue shield or doesn't charge too much per hour (anything above 30 dollars per hour isn't really within my family's budget). I also don't want a psychiatrist that has an office that's too far away (such as in Savannah). I'm currently 16, turning 17 in April of next year. (Please don't refer to one that only takes 18+ of age)

I also want to ask a couple of things. My friend told me about getting t in a lgbt clinic without a recommendation letter. Is there one in Atlanta and would that be a good route to go at it? Secondly, how much does t cost per month? And thirdly, after taking T, have you noticed that you started resembling your father more or is just based on your genetic?

They should accept BCBS.

I found out they do accept BCBS, but I sadly have no idea if the insurance will pay for it partially or fully. I'll try and get more information on Monday, thanks!

They might use informed consent.

I'll try and visit this place tomorrow as well. Hopefully, they do have informed consent because my parents will no doubt support me on this transition. Thanks a lot for telling me about this place!
