Some pals even reckon she resembles X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos — much to 19-year-old Jamie's delight.
For Jamie was born a boy and credits the N-Dubz singer as her inspiration finally to find her female identity.
Jamie, of Bridgend, south Wales, said: "Tulisa has become my idol as she is so true to herself and her attitude and glam style has given me the courage to embrace becoming a girl.
"I trawled shops for copycat outfits and when I wore them, for the first time I'd found my true style.
"It was great to have someone I could take inspiration from. It felt like she was there in the changing room, helping me through.
"She's brave with her fashion choices and I feel I must be brave every time I step outside as people stare at me for being transgender."
