how has HRT changed your facial structure?

I'm interested in knowing what traits in someone's face may change when they are on HRT. Particularly with ftms, but anyone who sees this should feel free to post. :)

For example, did your cheekbones get more prominent or shallow, did your jaw shape change, or did fat distribution on your face change enough to change your face shape? If the fat changed, I would like to know in what way it changed. Did your cheeks get puffier, or skinnier?

Well, I'm done rambling. lol I appreciate anyone who answers.

The most obvious change is my lower face getting more square and wide. I don't know if that's due to fat changes or what, but that's the most obvious. My skin texture is a bit rougher in the face. I also look like a rather chubby adolescent boy at the moment, but that will pass with more time on T (the "puffy face" stage as a lot of guys call it). My eyes, i think, have gotten a tiny bit smaller but they're still quite big.

Your bones won't grow or move, your fat will redistribute and your muscles will thicken.  My jaw got squarer.

Mr.Rainey

It's wider and a tad more round. Sorta like my Dad's.

I have noticed my chin getting a little chubby. This could be for a number of reasons. I think I need to eat better and exercise more often. Then again my Dad is a chubby guy so I might have those genes in me.

The area around my eyes seemed to change a lot. Jaw got wider too.

The biggest difference is in my jaw.  I've kind of turned into a blockhead.  My cheekbones seem to be a little more prominent, too.

My face got just . . .thicker lol.

I guess more specifically it got wider/long/filled more. Like my dad's too haha. I'm like his twin now.

Natkat

looking myself in the mirrow it looks like I got abit more slim cheeks. I hope this change future cause I hate my fat face. but it has turned from shapeless bloop" to something more natural.

Since I don't feel comfortable posting pictures, I'll explain it the best way possible.
You know daniel radcliffe from harry potter? if you aren't familliar with the harry potter movies you can google them to see what i mean. My face started a bit like his in prisoner of askaban. Then for the first 6 months i looked like he did in the chamber of secrets. Now at 1 year 6months i look like him in goblet of fire.

That's not chronological! This does not compute.

I know, it was odd. For a while i looked younger and chubbier than i did pre-t.

At first my face got a bit chubby, then leaned out. My jaw line hardened and my face didn't come to a point anymore at my chin- more squared. I never had high cheek bones so there was no change there.

@Nygeel: Wow Nygeel! You look great! Are you passing better now? I don't know how anyone can mis-gender you now. Your facial hair looks great! I have to say I am jealous. My facial hair stop growing since I've been on the finastride and the andro gel.  I wish I didn't shave the little bit of facial hair I had. But it started to look bad b/c it was so patchy on one side. But you look really good!

Still get misgendered a lot, yep. It's not as bad as it was, but it's still not where I'd like to be. I get misgendered daily.

Don't want to derail, but Nygeel--a different haircut might accentuate any male hairline you have.

Apart from that, you have some characteristics still working against you that will take time to balance out--your eyebrows look sculpted rather than bushy, you have really pretty eyes, and you seem to have a Cupid's-bow mouth. But you are looking manlier and manlier. The facial hair certainly helps.

One of my exes had very sexy lips that any girl would envy. When he had a full mustache and beard, his lips weren't noticeable. When he shaved, we were all commenting about his mouth. I wonder if he was misgendered when he was thirteen...

Some of my changes might have been due to weight loss as much as T. But my face is much leaner. I look more like I did when I was in my androgynous twenties, except my eyebrows get super bushy now if they aren't trimmed (like Dad's). Also, the skin is a bit coarser and pinker (more red blood cells, I guess).

I think that facially, my biggest changes are hair-related--bushy eyebrows, receding hairline, good sideburns, and the beard (still a bit too scruffy).

P.S. RagingShadow, is that first pic pre-T or post-T??

Really? Even with your facial hair? Wow. I wouldn't mis-gender you. You look completely male to me. I don't understand how people can't tell male from female...?

@RagingShadow: You look great! Nice changes!
