Seras93

Hey all, I'm new here. Call me Seras. Forgive me, introductions aren't my strong suit. I'm a pre-everything (and questioning) MtF girl. Currently I'm in the start of my collegiate grind, so, I imagine I might be pre-everything for at least another couple of years, when I finally come up with a concrete decision and have the financial means. I'm seeing a school counselor, she's not a gender therapist, but it's progress for sure. I've been conflicted since age 8, or thereabouts. I really don't remember much from my early childhood, actually. Nowadays, though, I am really lucky to have good, accepting friends. They've helped me through a heck of a lot in the last six months.

I figure I should skip the long old sob story of my life and tell you about my personality and what I enjoy in life.

I'm a gamer, gearhead, hoplophile, history buff, movie buff, recreational writer, rusty artist and a terrible guitarist. I've also lately garnered a great interest in anime and possibly cosplay, too. So, I guess I'm a bit of a tomboy. I'm no Victoria's Secret (rather, Calvin Klein?) model, nor will I ever be, but I'm happy with who I am, at least on the inside. The outside could use a little work, though. I'm kinda sarcastic and often pessimistic, as well as corny too. I'm the shy and silent type, but heaven forbid you start talking about games, movies, cars, or the like...I'll talk your ears off. Since I'm originally from New York, I have this funny little thing going on with my accent, too. When I get annoyed, my accent thickens. I wonder how voice training will affect my accent... A good question, I figure.

I figure I should explain my username as well. It's actually not the name I'd go on using if I were to transition, it's just the name of my favorite character from Hellsing. Seras Victoria or "Police Girl", as she's called. The '93 just denotes my vintage.

Hi Seras, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 9102 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Hi Seras, welcome to Susan's Place! I live near Boston. I'd put up my vintage but we ran out of cave wall to carve on! See you around, hugs, Devlyn

Thanks, Ms. O'Brien and Devlyn Marie! I'll definitely be seeing you two around. I'm in Florida, myself.

And Devlyn, thank you for your service.

Seras, welcome from southern California.

We have quite a few members who are college students.  It is a great time of life to experiment and find out who you really are.  Best of luck to you.

Thanks, Jamie D. That's what I intend to do. I finally have the freedom and independence to do so, well...sort of. I'm just kinda nervous and flighty about some things.
