LAHORE: The transgender community on Wednesday unfolded a charter of demand for the rights of the community members, which faces various types of biases and discrimination. In this regard, speakers addressed a round-table discussion titled "Upcoming Election: Effective Participation of Transgender Community". It was arranged by Centre for Human Rights Education (CHRE).

Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Amna Ulfat, addressing the event, said that transgenders have equal rights as human beings and, therefore, they should be treated equally without any discrimination. She said, "It is very unfortunate that the transgender community is neglected and discriminated against by society."
