So something has been bothering me all morning. This guy on YouTube said I have a 'very masculine' face I asked one of my co-workers just now and she agreed. Hearing the word 'very' is disturbing to me. After hearing this I'm now contimplating getting FFS because it must be obvious and I'm missing it. My friend here at work has known me for ever so her opionion is sorta jaded in that sense. I wanted to know you girls thoughts. Should I look into FFS and or a Nose job?

Here is a picture fresh out of the shower. No Make up on end of the day. I had laser in the AM on my face & chest so I'm a  bit red.

Pardon the newb question but what does FFS mean?  Your face looks fine in the first few pics but the last one there's a darkness about the mouth that suggests facial hair, congrats on your chest, it looks awesome, is that with padding or is that how much growth you've experienced?

FFS stands for facial feminization surgery. Its where they shave brows, chin, nose etc. There is a handful of things they do. I'm wearing breast forms. My boobies aren't that size yet. They are though where I would like to have them someday.

The bottom portion of your face is indeed "very" masculine. With your hand hide your nose/mouth on a picture onscreen, you see a girl. Now hide the upper portion of your face, unmistakably male.

Your nose is ok I think it's pretty much the mouth/jaw. Without a side/45 angle pic I can't tell if your brow ridge is in male territory though.

One word of advice I can give you: Don't smile like that it's just not flattering... Teethy smiles are just not for most MTFs it highlights your complete lack of upper lip. Shy smiles, smirks work best because as MAAB our face is more designed to frown, look angry and make freakin hideous warmongering faces distorted by hatred.

I look 100% bio and I wouldn't smile like that.

Serena, the only thing I can think of is the length of the jaw. I don't think it's VERY masculine at all though... just something someone looks for when gendering a person.

That's one of the things I got in my FFS evaluation, tall chin and slightly receeded. A sliding genioplasty will be neccesary for me too.

Serena, I have to agree.  Your jaw is long, and combined with your forehead, you have a long face.

Hey, at least you have a great nose!. I would kill for something like that. And for the rest of the face too. Specially the eyes.

Sorry, sis.  But it isn't anything that can not be fixed.  You could look old like me.

Only in the last picture did you appear to have a masculine face.

Forget this, Serena. Never be afraid to smile.  :) --> Or as you so elegantly do it,  ;D.

I've been told that I will absolutely need FFS. I have no intention of getting FFS, however.

I've seen women AFAB whose faces and/or bodies have had "masculine" traits. Descriptions offered by some folks on this site of what is "necessary" to be seen as female would indicate that my ex-wife wouldn't pass. I can assure you that she is indeed female, as I have had intimate experience with her body.

Passing is dependent on point of view. What does your point of view say? When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see?

Let your own opinion be your primary judge.

This!

Just because you have a masculine trait, does not mean that you have to drastically alter it.  You are very lovely and not alone.  Everyone is built differently, including cis females.  This includes a myriad of body and facial features that are quite common.  Some will notice it, a lot won't...  As was said in a different thread here somewhere, most people don't look for reasons for someone to not pass...  Most people, quite frankly, are oblivious to our very existence.   You look great, keep it up girly!

I love smiling and I'm not changing that. I think I'm beautiful so the haters can kick rocks I've decided. I'm over it.

Good girl.  You are still beautiful.

As long as you're aware that smiling like that is masculinizing your face, own it. I know your smile is sincere but the 53 muscles you need to activate to make it happen don't translate in a way that's flattering that's all and to me it looks forceful. There are 17+ types of smiles, explore them.

I think you look good. Before you do somthing as drastic as ffs, try a different hairstyle, something with bangs. The right hairstyle can make a world of difference. I also think if you thinned out/shaped your eyebrows that it would help a lot.
