I'm looking into this. I saw that the simple release is a lot cheaper than the whole multiple surgeries. I was thinking of getting the simple release and the implants. Does anyone know of the cost? Has anyone done this? What was your experience?

I'm not familiar with this. Do you have a link I could look at to educate myself?

Can we post links to surgeons and stuff?

There is a forum on surgery on Susan's. Not sure exactly where it is.
You can also read up on it on Hudson's (among other stuff).

No idea on cost, but most surgeons who perform meta will want you to have been on T at least two years.

I'm aware of that. I'll probably be on T for 2 years by the time I actually get the surgery. I just want information.

You might google the Papillon clinic (google search papillon clinic+transgender). That's McGinn site. She is not by far the only person who does this but you might at least get a rough idea what the figures are.

Release alone is around $2,000. I think with implants it would sort of have to depend on what you have, and what sort of set up your looking for. One place I saw online quotes around $8,000 for release and testicular implants.

I almost went that route, and was going to go to Dr. Bowers.  But I ultimately decided I needed the hole gone and wouldn't be happy unless I could pee through my dick.

I think it is a good option, even if it wasn't right for me.

Yeah, I thought about closing the hole and being able to pee through it, but I'll never have that kind-of money. I think this is a great option for me.

Thanks guys!

Costs around 9-11k when you add in anesthesia, etc.
Scrotoplasty with implants is roughly half the cost.

You can have the hole closed and/or urethral hookup later if so desired.

I have detailed notes from corresponding with various surgeons. PM me if interested.
