Quote from: JohnAlex on December 12, 2012, 04:17:09 PMI keep going to the doctor about it, and it seems like they don't think it's a big deal (I've seen different doctors about it). but it's a big deal to me when it's extremely painful.
Quote from: Simon on December 12, 2012, 05:04:47 PMI can't say for 100% certainty but I'm thinking the doctors aren't taking you very seriously because they're thinking you may be using it as a ploy to get a hysto, and especially a hysto covered by insurance.I would do my best to find a trans friendly Gyno and explain your situation and frustrations. If they see no signs of endometriosis or PCOS they're probably going to write you an Rx for extra strength Tylenol. What tests have they performed on you thus far? Keep fighting for yourself and don't give up.
Quote from: aleon515 on December 12, 2012, 10:29:03 PMIt would be something I might change endos over. You know I don't think the doctor has any business not taking your seriously. If there is a ploy going on, which I don't think, than the doctor him or herself is not going to be hurt by this. The doctor is not supposed to act to protect the insurance company (or the NHS), although the later makes a bit more sense. Honestly, some doctors actually code so that someone is covered by insurance.--Jay
Quote from: JohnAlex on December 13, 2012, 12:57:21 AMI don't have an endo and have never seen one people. My regular doctor prescribed me T.
Quote from: aleon515 on December 13, 2012, 06:05:30 PMThen maybe you should find another doctor who might take this seriously. Sounds very unpleasant.--Jay
Quote from: aleon515 on December 13, 2012, 09:17:08 PMA GYN, and we know how much fun that is not, might make sense. This could have no relationship to T. It might, but maybe it doesn't. This could be a separate issue. The complication is that you are taking T. Finding a trans friendly GYN is something I might be able to do with the help of a fantastic trans center, but hard to do on your own. But still you have an ongoing issue. Certain conditions, like endometriosis have severe cramps as a symptom.--Jay
