I am going on 4 years post meta and standing to pee fully clothed, even following surgery, had a HUGE learning curve! First it mattered the underwear I had on, then I could only do urinals and not toilets (missed the toilet OR dripped all over my clothes). It wasn't until this past summer when I peed outside almost exclusively while working in the yard that I pretty much had it mastered (or so I thought). Then there are other clothing issues that come into play: a shirt with shirt tails foiled me at a urinal, next it was a belt! So I'm still learning!
You're probably right that this is a great option. But I'd put it out there with the caution that you might not get it right the first handful of times, or the first few months, and it might take longer to master it. And great if you have time to practice it!
